Guest guest
Hi, had another fever this past week. It started out being low- grade (under 101) Wednesday and Thursday, but Friday night it went up to 103.6*. He still had no other symptoms. Also, when his fever went up, I noticed tiny little red dots all over his back and tummy. Yesterday, his fever was back to 101, but he still has the red dots and they were even on his thighs. Today his fever is down to 99.6, and he still has the dots. Does this sound like a heat rash caused by a fever? At first I thought it might be roseola, but when I read up on it, I don't think it's that because these dots aren't raised. They also came on when the fever spiked - not when it went down. Any thoughts? Connie - Mommy to (18 months old with low IgG) http://www.picturetrail.com/sewmommy

Guest guest
Hello, My son sean had a high fever associatedc with red dots on his tummy, back and legs that got worse with the fever. He and another one of his playmates n=both had it and both PEDs said it was not roseola but rather some sort of virus. It resolved itself within a few days with little intervention, but I would go to your ped just to be sure! Hope this helps. Worth a look. I don't recall the manufacturer but it was one of the big popsicle brands, nothing unusual or health-foody.
