I switched off the red yeast rice as it was giving me headaches that continued to increase (at least I suspected it was the red yeast rice) to the point that I had to take excedrin a couple of times a day, the first time in two years I've taken something with caffeine in it since my heart attack. I'm back on the provalchol for now, the headaches are gone after 6 weeks and the Elevated Uric Acid levels are comming down but not quite back to normal. At least, I didn't get a gout attack of any kind and on the positive side uric acid is an anti-oxidant. -- Steve - dudescholar2@... " Tell the truth and then run.
