Guest guest
CANINE INFECTIOUS HEPATITIS Gemma's already been vaccinated for Canine Hepatitis--which, by the way, is not HepC as you know and love it. It can run its course in up to 2 weeks. They need intravenous fluids, good nursing, rest and antibiotics for secondary bacterial infection which is common. I can only guess that it must be common here, and that's why the Shelter vacc. them. I'll find out from Sally. When we had the bad outbreak of West Nile virus and it was common to find dead birds--which of course dogs can't resist--Sally was right that canines don't get it unless they're already sick with something else. So I'll trust her call until she's proven wrong. Take care of yourself, Liz
