Guest guest
Wow, I did not know that G-Alpha protein was also linked to MMR. It does not surprise me. I had always understood (from Megson's 2005 conference) that the damage was always linked to the pertussis component of the DTaP combined with mercury and/or aluminum. I know that the damage can occur slowly. I do not understand the mechanism by which it works other than that the bethanechol helps repair vision, sensory and language processing which go to the heart of ASD. I have a math background (majored in it) but not a science one. The only thing I know is what I've read and that bethanechol ended up being part of our solution, along with MB12, Valtrex. HBOT and now lithium. This month marks our 1 year anniversary on MB12. We have been lucky in that the only thing that blew up for us and sent us backwards were folinic acid and MB12 without upping the zinc monomethionine. Guest guest
I re read Megson’s stuff and she says that the measles depletes the vitamin A supply severely maybe not actually causing the split from G-Alpha but the molecular glue that binds it. At least that’s how I interpreted it. This would definetly make sense in my son’s case. He had very little to no Vitamin A after the MMR and then got his DTP at 18 months finishing off the job. So measles can play a huge role but maybe not the entire injury. Every female member of both sides of my family have hypo thyroid except myself and my sister (yet that is). My son has a large difficulty absorbing the CLO but we are going very slow and probable within the next year will be able to get the vitamin A up enough to do this protocol. Vera, your information on this has been extremely helpful to this group and I thank you. I’ve been researching it ever since you 1st posted it in early spring. I am now looking at my son’s hand stims in a very different light. It would be fascinating to look at a hand that didn’t look like it was attached to an arm. Take care, Here is the portion of Megon’s theory on MMR (measles) The measles virus, part of the MMR vaccination, also plays a role in the g-alpha protein problem. Measles vaccination is associated with lower vitamin A levels and vitamin A in its natural form (cis-vitamin A) is necessary for activating the retinoid receptors. The antibodies to the measles virus also disrupt the “molecular glue” that connects one cell to another and which is so essential cell-to-cell communication and gut mucosal integrity. The absorption of vitamin A from the intestinal tract requires an intact gut mucosal surface, the right acidity (pH) and the presence of bile. Guest guest
Which is why its important to dose with high Vitamin A CLO - the Carlsons and the Coromegas and the Nordic Naturals (some of them) do not have enough Vitamin A in them. I found it easiest to buy the Garden of Life brand as the Vitamin Shoppe carries it. The other one is Ron's which someone on this list told me about but you need to order it, thank you!!! Gayatri PS I have often wondered if some of the kids who go crazy after dairy are the ones that are measles injured, maybe they are trying to make up their natural Vitamin A and possibly D from dairy in the face of depletion by the measles. My son went after dairy soon after the MMR (at 13 months) and then took to wheat in a big way only at 2.75 years (1.5 years later). I don't know why that was delayed for him. We don't have any " diagnosed " thyroid issues in our family. > > I thought Megson also said that the measles could also cause the G- Alpha > protein break as well as pertussis. Guest guest
Hi Natasa, Penni just posted a web site that carried Megson’s stuff and that’s where I went, www.springboard4health.com/notebook/health_autism2.html I also found it on the ari website a month ago. I’m not sure of the year. BTW, thanks for all of that information on Bacopa! I’m sorry I haven’t gotten back to you. I just bought some the other night and have to wait a few days to give it to CJ but I will let you know how it goes. The guy at Wild Oats laughs every time I come in because I ask about the most obscure things. He happened to find some while I was researching on their supplement computer. I figured it was fate.
