Guest guest
well 1st of all i hope everbody is doing ok.tonight i had a support group meeting at the drs. office again i ask't for a biopsy she said it was not needed.funny thing the meeting was catered by reps from the phamacitcal companys that supply the meds. really nice sandwichs gourmet all diff and enough food to feed 25 ta 30 not the 6 in the group and 5 diff kinds of chips and dip.so lets see fat, proccessed meats chesses soda? hmmmm liver supporrt group?i thought this has to be a joke wheres the cameras.when it was my turn i made mention of my diet and now @198 from over 230,and i shared from what ive read that these foods where not the best for your liver, fats proccessed etc,the nurse pract said well small amounts are ok.if the pharm reps and drs where really conecerned for my health i feel that other sourses of food whould have been a better choice. i feel almost like they where trying to buy my vote.or just keep me so unhealthy i use more meds lol.i guess if i had a lil smoke in there it would be ok or shot up drugs jus a lil it would be ok i dont get it. but oh well ,the good news is they where gonna bring the left overs to the drs next door and i stood up why do that the rescue mission could use it more and they allowed me to take it over to them so not all was bad ,i just felt like the whole support group thing was sales pitch paid 4 by big $$ drug pushers. if they where handing out gas cards i might have signed up.lol Talk is cheap. Guest guest
its pretty sickening Tim!!! The drug reps only want to get as many ppl as they can on their drugs, THATS THEIR JOBS! I agree that fatty lunch meats are not the most healthy things they could have brought to lunch. Im surprised that they didnt bring donuts, sweet rolls and coffee instead tho.. that was nice that you took the left overs to the mission to help feed those who have NOTHING to eat.. good job!Hillbilly Tim <knoxweb1@...> wrote: well 1st of all i hope everbody is doing ok.tonight i had a support group meeting at the drs. office again i ask't for a biopsy she said it was not needed.funny thing the meeting was catered by reps from the phamacitcal companys that supply the meds. really nice sandwichs gourmet all diff and enough food to feed 25 ta 30 not the 6 in the group and 5 diff kinds of chips and dip.so lets see fat, proccessed meats chesses soda? hmmmm liver supporrt group?i thought this has to be a joke wheres the cameras.when it was my turn i made mention of my diet and now @198 from over 230,and i shared from what ive read that these foods where not the best for your liver, fats proccessed etc,the nurse pract said well small amounts are ok.if the pharm reps and drs where really conecerned for my health i feel that other sourses of food whould have been a better choice. i feel almost like they where trying to buy my vote.or just keep me so unhealthy i use more meds lol.i guess if i had a lil smoke in there it would be ok or shot up drugs jus a lil it would be ok i dont get it. but oh well ,the good news is they where gonna bring the left overs to the drs next door and i stood up why do that the rescue mission could use it more and they allowed me to take it over to them so not all was bad ,i just felt like the whole support group thing was sales pitch paid 4 by big $$ drug pushers. if they where handing out gas cards i might have signed up.lol Talk is cheap. Guest guest
Hi, I'm having a brain fog moment and I can't remember if you've ever treated or not, but I'll put my two cents in anyways. I would find another doctor. You can't make an informed decision without a biopsy. I went through so many doctors before finding the right one, that I was beginning to wonder if it was just me being too picky and wanting too much. Guest guest
Hi Tim, I don't know if there are different tests needed to determine damage caused by type 2b, so naturally I'll open my mouth again. I've read that people with low levels can have a lot of damage, and people with high levels can have very little to no damage. The only way to truly tell liver damage is with a biopsy. I went through 6 doctors looking for the right fit. I found that good fit on my third try. I really liked the doctor and the nurse but this office wouldn't return my calls. So I kept looking for doctors. Finally I decided to go back and tell them that I wanted to treat with them but told them that they can't ignore my calls. I looked long and hard and then put up a fight. Now they call me back on the same day. I am a single parent too and I was terrified to start treatment. I am in week 36 and I am fortunate to have had an easy time with treatment. Sure, I've had difficult times, but they pass. I can't tell anyone what to do, I just could not have made the very hard decision to treat or not without all the facts. Good luck.
