Fat Scobies

Hello All,

I have been brewing for just three months and I am working out some

kinks still. I was wondering about the older scobies. I have not

been able to throw out or composte any of mine...I am a bit attached

to them. So, I just keep re-adding them to the next batch. I now

have three jars going with a total of 5 gallons of KT! With this last

batch there was allot of mother in each jar. Does this matter? Does

it change the brew or the dynamics of the KT? Just curious and hoping

I am not mucking things up. The Scobies are about three-four inches

thick in the the 3 gallon jugs and about two inches thick in the one

gallon jar. Thank you, Pepper in Louisiana
