Guest guest
I would be interested in this too. Our son has been on 250 mg. threetimes a day for almost 3 weeks and we've seen nothing - no rash, no fever, no healing regression. He is on Diflucan now and was on Nystatin and Biocidin before that. Is he just a non-responder, or should we up the dosage, or maybe just keep waiting? I plan on asking our DAN, but we won't have an appointment for a few more weeks. Any information is appreciated. Guest guest
Suppress. I just watch Dr. J McCandless speak about viruses in her presentation at the Long Beach DAN! Conference. She said several times that anti-virals only suppress the virus, not kill it. I don’t think two weeks is long enough to know if you will see a reaction. I started n on Valtrex 4 days ago and nothing. No yeast, no nothing. He was an immediate and huge responder to Virastop and OLE so I'm not used to this. I'm pretty sure I remember Megson saying Valtrex works on retroviruses -- I wonder if the non-response continues I can assume any retroviral problem is at least not big. Guest guest
Hi Nell, I’m not sure that four days is enough time to tell one way or another. We did almost two months of Valtrex before we figured out he was a Nonresponder. Pamela " Courage is doing what you're afraid to do. There can be no courage unless you're scared.
