About those San Diego wildfires

Here is something I picked up off a local list and thought I'd pass

along to the compassionate people of this list. Posted by but not

written by Lang.

1588 families lost everything in the several wildfires that raged

through San Diego County at the end of October.

Your help is needed in 2 ways:

1) Identification of the families:

A) Were you one who lost everything? If so, the Blanket Project

coordinators need to know who you are, how many are in your family and

your present contact information. Please feel free to email me off list

at gloriamarie@... or send it directly to the Project at " San

Diego Wildfire Blankets " < sandiegowildfireblankets@... >.

Do you have friends, relatives, family, acquaintances or just have a

name of anyone who lost everything? f so, the Blanket Project

coordinators need to know who you are, how many are in your family and

your present contact information. Please feel free to email me off list

2) More squares needed:

1588 families means there are more than 1588 people affected, so the

need for squares is enormous. Please knit, crochet, weave, loom some

squares.

Sqaures need to be:

* Machine Wash & Dryable

* Preferred Worsted Weight in Acrylic

* If Wool Blend - please enclose a note as such so we can separate in

case of allergies

* Patterns - Knitted or crochet YOUR CHOICE!

* If you would like to enclose a note, a prayer, well wishes... PLEASE

do!

* There is no need to block your squares as the finished pieced will be

blocked together.

Thank you for anything you can do. By ourselves, no one person can

accomplish all that much, but if each of us were faithful to do the itty

bitty we can, then collectively we will have accomplished a very great
