Raised red bumps - viral rash?

My 4.5 yr old son has been on valtrex since Feb. He got a fever and

rash about a month into it, and another fever and rash (rubella-like)

all over his legs & arms in mid-May as well (also a month into HBOT).

Anyway, he's been in a regression for the last few weeks, and I'm

trying to figure out why. He did have some cold-like symptoms

starting about a week ago (stuffed nose, mostly), and tonight, I

noticed raised red bumps on his butt cheeks -- about 12 on left cheek,

3-4 on right. It's not a diaper rash or anything, since he's potty

trained. Could this be a viral rash? They're VERY red and definitely

raised.

I checked back through my notes from the last 18 mos, and he's had

similar red raised bumps on his butt cheeks when we started LDN and

also when we started DMPS. So I'd love to figure out this mystery of

what this could be.
