Guest guest
My five year old daughter started acyclovir on Saturday. (I know this is a Valtrex group, but I'm hoping the issues are similar enough that folks can help. We are doing a one-month trial of acylcovir whiel we try to convince our insurance to pay for Valtrex.) Since then, she has been very regressive--stimmy, tantrummy, uncooperative, nasal allergies bothering her, diarrhea. But she was on somewhat of a downhill slide, with increased stimminess and tantrums, even before we started the acylcovir. NOw that I think about it, her downhill slide may have began with the start of olive lef extract and virastop a few weeks prior. However, since starting the acylcovir, she is definitely worse. COuld this be a healing regression? She doesn't have a rash. Or coiuld it be an indicator that she is not tolerating the anti- virals? HOw long does a healing regressin typically last? Should we stop the OLE and Virastop, and just do the acylcovir? I read on another listserve that OLE and Virastop have a lot of B6 in them and some kids can't handle that. Does anyoen know if acylclovir and OLE also have B6? Thanks,
