Hi NO, I didnt have a doc like that and I wouldnt stand for that either... YOU should either find another doc or DEMAND that he give you time off,, REMEMBER,, you have FMLA and you can take up to 12 weeks per year unpaid leave and you might want to consider using it for this.. I have a feeling tho that if you are feeling this bad, a couple of weeks is not going to really make you feel better,, as you go along with tx, you MAY feel even weaker and sicker... BUT, the point is that YOUR DOC NOR HIS STAFF are ON tx and have NO idea what this feels like... YOU CANNOT stop tx if its working hon,,, YOU can't and you are right, this kind of stress is NOT good for you.. I would either have a SERIOUS talk wtih your doc about this and what HIS STAFF told you as they have NO business telling you things like that OR I"D find another doc and then after you leave, I'd tell him EXACTLY WHY you are leaving and I'd follow up with a letter to the AMA, and

to the liver foundation about your treatment from this office... YOU must let others know about this as this is one of the reasons that people dont clear,, Docs MUST give you ALL the tools to be able to do this tx and those tools include meds to handle the side effects... when I was on tx, I was taking the INF and Riba, Pain meds, sleep meds, depression meds, muscle relaxers, meds to wake up with, etc,, YOU are fighting for your life honey,, YOU must NOT let him do this to ya,, IF YA want Ill write a letter as if I was going to your doc and send it to ya and you can re-write it in your own words etc and take it to your doc and maybe get some help... HOW long do you have to treat? How long have you been on tx? Im sure you have already told us but the INF has severely damaged my memory so I need to be reminded of things many times and even then I dont always remember it even then, lol PLEASE,, YOU are NOT being a whimp...

don't you ever buy that,, you are not, this treatment is hard,, I'd like them to have to do at least ONE shot ,, those who work in docs office and the docs themselves,, etc... awful! hugs, jax <linda68082@...> wrote: Well, evidently my doctor believes I'm being a wimp. When I asked for a note for 2-3 weeks off of work to get through this rough patch, the response from staff was that when talking with my doctor, if I can't work then perhaps I shouldn't be on treatment. So

basically, my choice is stay on treatment and work or go off of treatment. I don't understand this at all. I'm at stage/grade 3 ... going off of treatment isn't going to help my liver, and being stressed out from work, exhausted isn't going to help things either. Has anyone ever encountered this with their doctor?Jackie
