Anyone using Valtrex on a young 2 year old or a 25lb child? If so can

you share what lead to the decision and how the child is responding.

Anyone know what age/weight is the appropriate age to start.

Thanks,

Bernie

Hi-

We will be starting our son on Valtrex in a few weeks. He's 2 and a half and 25

lbs. I'll let you

know the exact dosage when I find it out. His viral titers were very high and

so we're hoping

this might be an effective treatment for him. I'll keep you posted! Good luck!

Best,

Annie

I started my 2.7 year old on Valtrex when he was 2.4. He had a lot of viruses before he regressed at 18 months. He was always in the ER, and always had diarhea and rotavirus. So...after reading about Stan, we started him on Valtrex at 2.4. He is 38 lbs, and we started with 250 mg three times a day. He has made tremendous progress, and is well onto his way to recovery after only 3 months on Valtrex!atorsig <anniet1@...> wrote: >> Anyone using Valtrex on a young 2 year old or a 25lb child?
