Hi Stan, I am fairly new here. I saw your son's encouraging story.

My son has similarities to Ethan. His viral tests (even PCR) were all

negative, and his hair test for mercury was very low, almost nil.

Some other metals showed up in hair and/or challenge tests, such as

Al, Tin and Thallium. We will be starting Valtrex soon. However my

son is healthy looking and no bowel problems, just underweight. He's

PDD-NOS.

Just wondering if any other metals showed up in any of his labs and

what were they? Did the mercury levels ever go up or did you test

for that? Our Dr. thinks mercury is not his issue (MTHFR was normal)

but the other metals are causing the problem. He's also COMT++. We

just finished 3 months of TD-DMPS with a little improvement and are

waiting for challenge results.

- Thanks, Theresa

Hi Theresa,

I've didn't do the genetic testing on my son, but his hair mercury

levels were .03 ug/g... very low... which to me means he was holding

onto mercury and he did have a rash that moved from his head to his

stomach during the healing regression... he had no viral titer

markers before during or after therapy and we did not run a PCR.

It sounds like you knew this already, but I just wanted to be clear.

My son did not have any obvious bowel signs, except 20 or so markers

on his IGG Food Panel. I did not think he had a gut issue back

then, but he certainly changed with diet and after his therapies you

don't find a smidgen of poop when you wipe now. So there was an

observational difference, I just didn't notice it until he got

better.

He did have some high hair metal markers including uranium (quite

common in california... it's the water to the best of my research).

I don't have the scan of the report on this computer, but if you

really want to know, I can find it for your later today.

Thanks Stan. Basically I'm wondering if you think or have any tests

to show that mercury did come out with the Valtrex.

We do have before and during metals tests and we're working on doing

a formal study on it as well.
