Guest guest
How about getting a diagnosis from a regular doctor??? Leigh Anne Carson <neilcarson@...> wrote: My son is definitely sick, but I'm wondering if it is a different herpes virus. He has about 15 large spots scattered over his belly and down one leg. I checked photos of chicken pox and they don't look like that. They are blotchy and red, maybe slightly raised, but not blistered. He is extremely lethargic, pale, has no appetite, and has a fever on and off. When I coaxed some food into him, he immediately vomited. Oh yeah, just prior to this illness, he had an eye infection. This is unusual for him. Could his immune system be waking up from all of the supplementation? As in "Oh my gosh, there is a virus in here, quick get rid of it!"As I posted earlier, Valtrex is not an option as there is no DAN doc within many hundred miles. (Although, I am starting to consider finding one as close to the US border as possible and making the trip down.) Any thoughts? Should we go for the OLE (which stirred up major yeast for us before), take Candex/GSE/garlic and hope?Thank you so much,Leigh Anne Talk is cheap. Use Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls. Guest guest
This sounds viral to me. I wouldn't focus on what type... because IMO, it doesn't matter... it's the autism type and there is no mainstream treatment for a virus anyway really.... If OLE stirred up yeast, it's another sign of a virus you're dealing with IMO. I would get some Diflucan or Nizoral and try OLE at least. Odds are the naturals will not be enough to take care of the yeast flare you'll get as you kill off this virus. The good news is that your child will likely be a responder to the therapy once you start it. - Stan My son is definitely sick, but I'm wondering if it is a different > herpes virus. Guest guest
Hi Maurine, yes we went to a regular doc today. He said it sort of looks like chicken pox (what I already knew) and to give him tylenol and call if it gets worse. He said it doesn't look like any of the other rashes to worry about (measles, rubella). I checked photos of chicken pox on the 'net and his rash doesn't have that blistered look. Thanks for your thoughts, Leigh Anne My son is definitely sick, but I'm wondering if it is a different > herpes virus. He has about 15 large spots scattered over his belly > and down one leg. Guest guest
The option of finding the nearest DAN is the one I would use. Get the boy on Valtrex. Using natural remedies (I believe) does not knock out the virus but makes it more immune to treatment.Leigh Anne Carson <neilcarson@...> wrote: My son is definitely sick, but I'm wondering if it is a different herpes virus. Guest guest
Leigh Anne- My daughter had a similar virus in June that we thought to be chickenpox. Her pediatrician diagnosed it as coxsackie virus. It lasted 5-6 days. It did not itch or scab over like chicken pox. Molly My son is definitely sick, but I'm wondering if it is a different > herpes virus. He has about 15 large spots scattered over his belly > and down one leg. Guest guest
Molly, I looked up sackie virus and all I could find was " Hand Foot and Mouth " disease. My son's spots are on his torso and down one leg. Were your daughter's spots limited to her hands and feet? I was thinking maybe EBV. The lesions follow the nerve across his thigh and down his leg, like shingles does. Interestingly, I have dramatic reactions to mosquito bites. Thanks for your thoughts, Best, Leigh anne My son is > definitely sick, but I'm wondering if it is a different > > herpes virus. Guest guest
Leigh Anne- My daughter's sackie virus was only on her torso. The ped said it was related to hand, foot and mouth. She said this form was going around our area (chicago) this summer. I was skeptical but it did go away in about 5 days. Hope your son is better soon.
