Sheena honey,, a 1 is a 1,, both have to treat for a year, so dont not knowing if its an A or a B make your decision.. I know lots of b's that have cleared and some have relapsed too, Sheena <mom4possums2002@...> wrote: Hi, I called my doctor's office because the lab typed me a Genotype "1:, but failed to put the letter that goes with it, a, b, etc... The nurse called the outside lab and they said there wasn't one. Is that at

all possible? They said it was weak and so no sub type, yet my viral load was well over 1 million, 400, 000.. As that letter will make a difference in my ultimate decison on which road to travel, or not, I need the truth! Can anyone help? I feel like I'm getting the run around.. Thanks! and yes, its possible that the sample they took was too weak to subtype, but since its a one, I dont think it really matters,, geno 1 is the hardest to treat,, but Im geno 1 and I know several others who are too and remain clear now as wellSheena <mom4possums2002@...> wrote: Hi, I called my doctor's office because the lab typed me a Genotype "1:, but failed to put the letter that goes with it, a, b, etc... Hi Sheena,

I think that what you are looking for is the letter of

the type of Hepatitis that you have, A,B,C and so on.

Hope this helps.

I am genotype 1 and I cleared on the second round of treatment. So you see we can clear. *smile* just have to be diligent about it. Geri, What do you mean honey? You are doing this all different? Please explain,, Geno 3's clear easier than 1's but they do tend to cirrhos faster and tend to have fatty liver more than other geno's...us4heavenbound@... wrote: In a message dated 10/12/2006 1:17:47 AM Central Daylight Time, redjaxjm writes: I dont think it really matters,, geno 1 is the hardest to treat,, but Im geno 1 and I know several others who are too and remain clear now as well gee I am not too sure about that now..since I am 3 and doing all this different tx...who the heck knows anymore..oh I got my redipens and I am going to take it today...geri Jackie

Thanks, I now have e-mails and phone calls out to determine if the lab simply forgot and made excuses, or if indeed that is possible. It does make a huge difference to me after all that I've read.. I respect that hon,, but could you tell me WHY being an a or a b makes any difference? Its just for my knowledge and to understand where you are coming from,, not to be critical,, hugs sweetie jaxSheena <mom4possums2002@...> wrote: Thanks, I now have e-mails and phone calls out to determine if the lab simply forgot and made excuses, or if indeed that is possible.
