Guest guest
- Drew is taking ½ tsp. Of Diflucan and 1 tsp. Of Nystatin twice a day. I’m not sure what else to do for him. I know I should think about the SCD for him, but he is so restricted as it is. I’m not sure I can pull it off! Missy Re: Day 35 Has anyone seen this? Guest guest
Hi Missy, It's not a typical response to the therapy. I'm not sure how long the regression has been for you so I can't speak to that. I wonder if the " hair-like " things are actually hair. If so, then this is effecting the folicals and could be bacteria. Either way it sounds more bacterial or fungal based than it does viral based on it showing up on the arms and the description of the rash... but that's obviously just my opinion at this point. I would consider doing Diflucan more often and Nystatin less and doing an OATS test asap to see what bacteria or fungus might be the cause. In the meantime, to do some natural antimicrobial and natural antifungal on top of what you are doing might be a good idea as well. In my view, I believe the answer will be bacterial or fungal. Keep us posted. - Stan > > > > Drew now has a pimply rash with little white, hairlike things popping > > out of them. This rash is mainly on his face and arms. Has anyone > > seen this? Guest guest
Sorry, I just read the subject line and can obviously see how long you've been on Valtrex. That said, my posts stands as is. - Stan > > > > Drew now has a pimply rash with little white, hairlike things popping > > out of them. This rash is mainly on his face and arms. Guest guest
Also...all the people who have morgellon's have lyme disease as well. Lyme disease is also very common in kids with autism , although it goes primarily undiagnosed because it's not a standard test that the DAN docs run. There is a website that has pictures of different parasites that people with lyme can have. One of them has little thread-like fibers. I believe the site is www.lymephotos.com beware...it's really graphic and may gross you out, but may help you to identify what could be going on. Guest guest
Missy, When I read your post something was nagging at me about a condition I had read about but I couldn’t remember the name. Well I finally did today. When you described the rash with “hair like things” coming out I thought maybe you should look into morgellons. This is a bacterial condition I think, that can cause extreme irritation, pain and people feel like things are crawling all over their bodies. I couldn’t find the original article that I had read but here’s a link you can read more about it. http://www.morgellons.org/ I also wanted to mention that the original piece I read was about a lot of children with Autism have this condition. Dr. Jacquelyn McCandless recommends using flagal when using diflucan because the bacteria can creep in and take over where the yeast used to be. Maybe this could be a treatment to try for your son. You’ve got the viral in check, the yeast in check but we can’t forget about the bacteria our kids can experience. I really hope this helps. Guest guest
They are basically symptoms of an immune system gone amuck, thanks to the wonderful vaccine schedule initiated and furiously maintained by the CDC and AAP. Our poor kids, what they have to deal with on a daily basis. Missy you may want to get to an EAV naturopath or a BioSet practitioner for now and see if they can come up with a remedy for this acute condition. May want to up the immune and methylation/ sulphation supports and maybe stop the Valtrex for a bit, let him recover a bit. This is just awful. Guest guest
Missy, I totally agree with Alison on this, especially after reading about the pleomorphism issues last night (see my post of yesterday). As much as we steer up yeast by antifungals, we could also be re-awakening nasty bacteria by one way on another. would make sense to approach the nasties from all sides.
