Guest guest
Tami, where do you buy the liver life and is it capsule sor drops? Thanks, Re: Antivirus effect of polysaccharides of brewer yeast WHAT IF? I think one big connection to the yeast and our kids is liver dysfunction. Since the liver is the center of detox in the body and affects every function in the body, and since our kids are heavy metal toxic which causes liver dysfunction, I think it's something to really look at. From what I've been hearing from parents who are restoring liver functions with Liver Life, I think yeast/gut issues have so much to do with the liver. The Liver Life restores pH, drains acids, decongests the kidneys and liver, normalizes liver enzymes, rejuvenates the liver restoring it's functions. The liver filters out 99% of yeast and bacteria that enter the blood through the gut. If your kidneys and liver are congested, they will not drain acids efficiently. Acids build up in our tissues. (Acids are toxins like heavy metals, chemicals, pesticides, yeast, bacteria.) An acidic environment is a breeding ground for yeast, bacteria, parasites. Viruses and metals are also acid forming. Other factors of course include our diets. Here is two good lists of alkaline forming foods vs acid forming foods. For someone trying to restore their body's alkaline state, it's really helpful to eat more alkaline forming foods. Lemons and watermelons being the best. (if tolerated, of course) One little girl who had a really bad yeast infection got immediate relief by adding in fresh squeezed lemon juice to her drinks. http://home.bluegrass.net/~jclark/alkaline_foods.htmhttp://www.essense-of-life.com/info/foodchart.htmMy boss, Ray said in clinic, they noticed that virals usually exascerbates the yeast. And since virals are acid forming, that would make sense. I thought Gavin's liver was functioning fine. We never had any indications of liver dysfunction until I learned about urine pH. IF your urine pH is high it means that your body is not draining acids. We drain acids through our urine so the urine should be acidic, which helps our saliva pH become alkaline. Gavin's urine pH was an 8.0. An appropriate range is 5.8-6.2 for a healthy person and 5.5-5.8 for someone going through detox. His saliva pH was a 6.0. Healthy range is 6.8-7.2, 7.0 being perfect.OF course you could definitely still have liver dysfunction if the urine pH was in healthy range. The liver has over 500 functions and I don't know if we have a way to test for all those functions.Things we've noticed after addressing his liver with LL are: -able to discontinue many of his supps and decrease others -yeast and bacteria finally under control without the addition of 4-5 antifungals/antibacterials (alternating every 3-4 days)-went from knowing 19/100 of his fry words for 1st grade to 100/100 in just a few months-went up three reading levels-social skills through the roof (he had really good skills to start but is now just amazing!)-his teachers are amazed at his progress. Went from being really inconsistent to knowing how to do these things every day.( He knew how to count to 100 one day, not the next. Or knew how to spell words one day but not the next.)-calm, less explosive anger (he's still affected by seasonal allergies but much less severe)-was able to increase his dose of NDF Plus (mine too) without anxiety issues. Before LL, I had only tolerated 3-4 drops, now I can tolerate a full dropperful (26 drops).-better digestion and tolerance of foodsI am sure there are tons more that I have forgotten. Stan, I don't know if you remember when I asked you about the connection between MB12 and acids many months back. You had made a statement in a post that MB12 does not do well in an acidic environment and that's why some autistic kids do better with the nasal because the mucous in the nasal is much less acidic than the tissues. My son was able to discontinue all MB12 after draining the acids in his body and restoring his liver functions. (I don't think we are done. I think it's a process) Even oral MB12. I think restoring the liver will help these kids get better so much faster cause they could utilize the other things much more efficiently. It's amazing to not have to deal with yeasty behaviors every day. I am sure we may need to address it here and there, but it's amazing how much the liver works to battle yeast. My best,Tami WGavin's momBioRay customer supportfor the ASD communityBioRaynaturaldetox/> > > >> > > >> > > > 1: Zhongguo Zhong Yao Za Zhi. 1998 Mar;23(3):171-3,> > > >> > > > Antivirus effect of polysaccharides of brewer yeast in vitro> > > >> > > > The antivirus effect of polysaccharides of brewer yeast from yeast> > mud> > > > on 13> > > > kinds of viruses including DNA and RNA virus along with their> > mechanisms> > > > were> > > > studied. Guest guest
Hi , The best price I know of is at http://www.thenaturalhealthadvocates.shoppingcartsplus.com/home.html www.healingedge.net actually has LL two bucks cheaper, but the shipping is more so the health advocates are still the least expensive. It's a liquid tincture. If you go to the BioRay board, you can read more about it. Check out the files for the dosing instructions. BioRaynaturaldetox/ Are you doing the Valtrex ? If you are can you report what you see once you are on both Valtrex and LL? There is a mom who has had amazing results with her child using both. Her son hasn't experienced a huge regression with the Valtrex. Her son's experience is why I am so interested in the Valtrex. Many of his issues are similar to what my son struggled with. Guest guest
Hi Tami, thanks for the information. No we haven't started the Valtrex yet. I've been on this list for a long time reading along but until now our DAN! would not prescribe it. We've switched DAN! drs and have a phone consult coming up in a couple of weeks and it was agreed that if all is going well that Valtrex is next. I've been using milk thistle as liver support up until now and was intrigued by what you were saying about liver life. I certainly need to use it myself. We've had great response to LDN though and I'm sure we have viral issues that need to be addressed. I will get the Liver Life and start that first then will add in the Valtrex and keep you posted. all the best, Re: Tami/ Liver life question Hi ,The best price I know of is at http://www.thenaturalhealthadvocates.shoppingcartsplus.com/home.htmlwww.healingedge.net actually has LL two bucks cheaper, but the shipping is more so the health advocates are still the least expensive. It's a liquid tincture. Guest guest
My son is very close to recovery, it's driving me nuts. I do believe if he got rediagnosed right now, he'd lose his label. Though that doesn't mean he doesn't still have issues. I am very thankful (I thank God daily for where my son is right now) but it's like we are running around in circles looking for the final piece. In school, he's doing amazing. He does good socially and has many friends but is still immature for his age though gaining some seriously good ground since LL. He's on a regular T-ball team and is doing well. Though tonight he got mad cause another kid got to the ball before him. He talks well but lately likes to spell " poop " or " pee " a lot to make himself laugh. That is getting old, real quick, let me tell ya. LOL But then again, I am thankful that he can spell both those words (and tons of others). 9 months ago, this wasn't something he could do, much less wanted to do. My son's gut is not healed. It was much better until we added in the LDN. Then it became a mess. After adding in Liver Life, it got so much better and I dare say...functioned so normal but then....stupid me...wondered if he needed LDN anymore. He had been able to take away so many other things that I thought it would be a good time to try taking the LDN away. He had been on LDN for over six months, but not at full dose. This was about three months ago. I took it away and within a week felt him slipping in skills. His gut became a mess again. He was having potty accidents, weird stools and definite constipation so I added LDN back in. I feel like I am stuck. If I take the LDN away, his gut gets worse and he regresses. IF I raise the LDN to full dose, his gut gets worse, it's painful and he's a nightmare to be around. But I read that until you get to full dose, it may not switch from Th2 back to Th1. The only thing I feel like I haven't addressed are the virals. We've been doing biomed for over 6 years (GFCF with enzymes, secretin, chelation with DMSA, TD DMPS, NDF Plus, NDF, LDN, vitamins, minerals, MB12 shots for a year, Liver Life...and more) and I had always heard that once the metals were gone, the virals will be " released. " Well that's not happening with my son. I can't imagine why he would react so severely to raising the dose of LDN (cold sores, bloated tummy, constipation, orange chunky poops, pain) if the virals weren't such a burden for him. I am definitely nervous to try Valtrex, but I think it's something that just makes sense as we peel his onion of issues and see what's left. OH and we are doing HBOT at Miracle MOuntain in June, so maybe that will help the viral/gut issues too. My friends son is nonverbal but talks more and more each day. He was held back in first grade (same as Gavin) but is doing so well now that he's skipping to the 3rd grade. Her son's doing some serious rapid recovery in all areas including the gut. IT's amazing to hear her son's story. She posts here so I don't want to be the one to tell it all. It seems like his only issue now is getting his words out much more consistently. I wonder if the only thing that he needs is time for that to happen. It's very exciting. Guest guest
Tami, I've read some of your posts regarding Liver Life and it's use for kids with a high (alkaline) pH. I was wondering what you thought about kids that had a lower urine pH? My son's first morning pH is on the low side (around 5.5-6). At first, I thought this was really bad, since it showed that his body was too acidic. But after doing a lot of reading, I'm now thinking that it's a good sign, that his body is eliminating the harmful acids and therefore showing an acidic urine. However, we are chelating him and using antivirals, so I know his liver is working really hard. Right now, we are using Milk Thistle only during a chelation round. What is your recommendation about LL for a child like mine? Thanks, Sheryl
Guest guest
Tami, Your missing piece is probably the anti-virals. We are going to start Valtrex and Difflucan in the next few weeks. Guest guest
Hi Sheryl, Your son's urine pH seems to be near perfect range. That's great. I would be curious to know if the saliva is in range too. From what we've been hearing from parents, the LL has been effective for the kids with perfect urine/saliva pH's too. It was thought in the beginning, that the only kids who would benefit from LL would be the ones who didn't drain acids. Now we know that that's not true. REgulating the pH is only one part of what the LL does. It also restores liver functions by normalizing enzymes, rejuvenating the tissues, draining acids. If you go to the BioRay group and look in the files, there is a LL protocol. I'd follow that. It was designed for kids with ASD in mind. Hope this helps, Tami W > > Tami, > > I've read some of your posts regarding Liver Life and it's use for kids with a high (alkaline) pH. > > Thanks, > Sheryl >
Guest guest
Hi Tami, Here is where my mind focus the most about your post. The cold sore. Quite telling if you ask me. This, hypothetically, might be a good reason to use LDN and Valtrex together. If you have a cold sore, you really do have a viral issue going on IMO, so just using an immune modulator to try to cure a persistent virus... to me is a bit like closing the barn door after the cows left... sort of. I think LDN seems to be working for you, but at the same time this viral load is challenging and substantial. Why not put some Valrex on board and then raise the levels of LDN. I'm just talking out loud here, but if you remove the viruses capacity to replicate and the tune the immune system with LDN, the virus, possibly, won't have a place to run. Forgive me for speaking in general terms like that, but that's my opinion. Of course, don't forget an antifungal prior to starting antiviral therapy. - Stan > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > 1: Zhongguo Zhong Yao Za Zhi. 1998 Mar;23(3):171-3, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Antivirus effect of polysaccharides of brewer yeast > in > > > vitro > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > The antivirus effect of polysaccharides of brewer > yeast > > > from > > > > yeast > > > > > > mud > > > > > > > > on 13 > > > > > > > > kinds of viruses including DNA and RNA virus along > with > > > their > > > > > > mechanisms > > > > > > > > were > > > > > > > > studied. Guest guest
Hi Sheryl, So the obvious question is, how can you tell if your child's gut is actually acidic or not? I thought urine was a good indicator. My belief was that our kids, especially with gut problems are more likely acidic. I know that was the case with me. I also would show sign of liver issues when my gut was the worst (and if I was on the heavier side of my average weight). There is also a set of folks who believe that acid is the CAUSE of many chronic illnesses. - Stan > > Tami, > > I've read some of your posts regarding Liver Life and it's use for kids with a high (alkaline) pH. Guest guest
Hi Stan, That's funny you said that cause I can't stop thinking about the coldsores. What's interesting is he's never had one until we started the LDN. THen the week we tried to increase his dose to full dose, he got them all over his mouth and even on his tongue. It was so alarming to see. As soon as Colleen started sharing the info about her son on Valtrex, I got that feeling you get when you finally " get something " you've been struggling with for so long. If my son's doc had agreed to it, we'd be on it already. But that's another story... You said: " I think LDN seems to be working for you, but at the same time this viral load is challenging and substantial. Why not put some Valrex on board and then raise the levels of LDN. " I think that sounds like a really good idea. I've been wondering if I should do that during HBOT since it's supposed to help with virals as well. I meant to add in the Valtrex about a month before but the darn Valtrex is not here yet so I can't. You said: " if you remove the viruses capacity to replicate and the tune the immune system with LDN, the virus, possibly, won't have a place to run. " Yeah, that's really sounding like a good approach. You said: " Forgive me for speaking in general terms like that, but that's my opinion. " Oh, by all means speak in general terms. My brain is convulsing right now with all the stuff I've learned over the last 9 months. Simple explanations or theories are much appreciated. LOL The only antifungal I have at my disposal is nystatin and naturals. I am hoping with the Liver life in place, it will be enough. I'll be whining like a big baby if it's not. LOL Thanks for your insight. It's much appreciated. Guest guest
I was investigating tryptophan almost a year ago and at Wild Oats the HF employee told me the FDA removed it from the shelves because it worked too well. After investigation it seemed that one bad batch was the cause for the removal. Has anyone here ever tried tryptophan? I have two children allergic to beef along with a million other things, my ASD son has low protein, iron, and digestive enzymes and craves salt (iodine?). Supplementing him with enzymes is impossible, he gets so sick and he refuses to eat anything. But then again my son seems to fit every category. I'll have to post soon on Valtrex, seeing good things. - Re: Tami/ Liver life question Williss/files/ Autism - Mercury Induced Pellagra.doc .....Not often discussed is mercury's affect on tryptophan metabolism (and how this may relate to mental illness and autism) and the affect it may exert on Iodine metabolism.
