Is this the correct site?

I am not finding anything related to flashcards, etc.

How do you train motor fluency? We have motor dysfluency for lack of a

better term. What we have taught him and what took is there, but I would

not say it was fluid or fluent.

I am a doctor who has been working with Chronic back pain and spinal conditions

for over ten years now in Central Florida. I understand how it affects more than

the physical, and how constant pain brings about depression and many other

untreated issues. I would like to offer support help and suggestions to anyone

who needs it. Allows feel free to contact me, I would like to offer hope to

those who need it.

Hey

Doctor of Chiropractic,

specializing in Non-surgical therapy for severe back patients. I've

helped so many people that have experienced failure in all other areas,

including surgery. I would love to provide support to your group. What kind of

things have you tried for your pain, and what are you experiencing? Have you

found anything to be especially effective?

You should get a book that teaches you to locate and treat trigger points in

your body. There is a great book called " The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook " by

Davies and Davies. I used to have horrible spastic paraspinal muscles, they were

so bad I could barelt stand straight. I got many rounds of trigger point

injections, which worked for a while, but common with steroidal injections, it

stops being as effective with repetitive use. So I learned to work on them

myself and I went to a massage therapist one a week for a month, then every

other week for a month. We worked together to eradicate the trigger points, and

I am fortunate enough to say they have not returned...yet...

It would also help you to learn breathing exercizes and " self-awareness "

techniques, as trigger points are exacerbated by stress. Learning to relax your

muscles will help a lot too.

Good Luck!

Hi

Sigh! I'm in Australia. No chance you could pop down here??? LOL

Am going to see my chiropractor today - first visit after CT scan to

identify spondylolithesis, severe canal stenosis, facet joint problems and

more... MUCH pain, and adverse reactions to most pain meds, so I am

looking forward to this apt. Non-surgical therapy sounds good to me.

I breed and show a very rare breed of cats, which means some lifting -

litter boxes - especially after they have been used. Have not worked out a

solution to this apart from euthanasing most of the cats. Sounds like

overkill, but the economic situation here means people are not spending

money on pets so nobody wants them.

Maybe I'll have a question for you after today's apt.

Thanks for offering your time and skills.
