Guest guest
Hi , just a thought here: you may want to put in some methylation support, clean up the diet etc before starting chelation. Has your DAN mentioned any of that? Natasa > > Hi everyone, > I am , mom to an almost 4yr old daughter with moderate to severe diagnosis of autism. > My daughter says many words and phrases but only for labeling, not communicating. We have tried some supplements but are now on our first real medication, Nystatin. I don't know if this is doing anything since we haven't experienced any yeast die off reactions. My DAN doc. will start chelation in July but I am wondering if I should try Valtrex instead. He won't prescribe valtrex so I would have to look for someone else. I live near the Mexican border an can easily get any med I want. > What are your thoughts on this? > > My daughter has great eye contact but doesn't say a single word directly too us. Guest guest
Hi Natasa Thank you for replying. We did clean up the diet for 8 mo., very strict G & C free, she eats mostly fruits & green veggies and chicken anyway. The only thing I noticed was less stimming. I added enzymes when she started full day school because she kept getting her hands on the forbidden foods. Again, found no difference in her behavior. I give her 1/4 tsp. of folinic acid with B12 (kirkman) and wondered if that was enough. Also CLO (nordic), immune support (young living), TD glutithion & TD zinc. We want to try the nasal B12. I have a host of others I stopped using like the pro-bio(kirkman), super nu thera, B6 & mag. I guess I got too desperate and didn't give each enough time to decide if it helped so I stopped and am starting again slowly. Judging by her overall health, I would think she is ready for chelation however, I am not sure about the yeast chelation aggravates. How do we keep it under control during? My DAN Dr. is Pediatric, Osteopathic, Homeopathic, all natural and play it safe kind of guy. I don't want to wast time and am not sure if I should try another Dr. Has anyone heard of Dr. Centers from San Diego, CA? natasa778 <neno@...> wrote: Hi , just a thought here: you may want to put in some methylationsupport, clean up the diet etc before starting chelation. Guest guest
Hi , I have worked with Dr. Centers. Two years ago I went to him and he was the first doctor who felt my daughter was autistic. He did an IGG test for food sensitivities and organic acid test and several cranial manipulations. He got me on the right road, but at that time he did not know enough about autism biomedically to continue. He may have advanced since then. I would first check under DAN doctors and the last time he was at a meeting. He claims to be a DAN doctor but when I saw him he had only been to one conference several years ago. Alot has changed. We now see Dr. Woeller who was in San Diego and just moved to Temecula. He is up to date on the latest and reads Stans information from this group. Good luck, (I live in San Diego) -------------- Original message from maria bernal <amedallab@...>: -------------- Hi Natasa Thank you for replying. Guest guest
I don't feel good about jumping into metals detox before trying diet, " real antifungals " like Diflucan or Nizoral... we don't see great things from Nystatin... for the most part. And trying an antiviral before metals detox makes a lot of sense to me since we didn't have to chelate our child to get metals out of him. I advocate for a trial of an antiviral before metals detox. - Stan > > Hi everyone, > I am , mom to an almost 4yr old daughter with moderate to severe diagnosis of autism. > My daughter says many words and phrases but only for labeling, not communicating.
