Guest guest
Hi! I have a friend with a very verbal 5.5 year old son who has been in a traditional Lovaas-type program for about 2 years. Her son has made some wonderful progress, but she is considering a change as his speech is not as spontaneous as it could be. She is looking for some guidance from the group and she has asked me to post the following. Please reply directly to Donna. Thanks in advance! Has anyone used either the New Jersey Institute or Childhood Learning Center (Dr. ) to run their child's discrete program? If so, can you please e-mail me privately with positive/negative comments? Also, is anyone still running a discrete program, but adding Carbone's method of teaching intraverbal skills? If so, how is it going? What's more effective (discrete or Carbone's way of teaching). Can you still do both, or do you have to pick one? Please let me know. Thank you. Please send comments to Donna at tmbdmb@...
