Guest guest
What ho gang. The brew is brewed. I intended to use what I call an equal desert spoonful, that's tablespoon to you lot, (i.e. as much above as below the spoon edge) per 1/2 pint but when I reached the 8 there was so little left it suffered from a profound attack of " What the heck " and there are/ were 9 or 10 sp. to 4pts. (2ltr ish) 4 common or garden, bog standard, tea bags and 170g of ordinary white sugar (my hand slipped 150g intended). I boiled the water in a S/S pan, dissolved the sugar and, while still just on the boil hurled in the " drinky stuff " . Brought it *<just>* back to a boil, switched off heat and let it fester for about 10 mins. As soon as practicable it got a journey through the kitchen strainer lined with paper towel and into jar when cool enough not to crack glass. Usual 10% starter and our old floating friend. Started " strawing " it at 5 or 6 days. Bottle to your own spec. The only down side I can *<see>* is the fact that it's cloudier than yer average KT. " She who must be obeyed said " Ooh, this one's nice. " Tastes just like cold, unsweetened coffee. Kombuffee the depression slayer strikes again. {(;-)) Nn. England.
