Hi All,

I am new to the list, but certainly not new to the DAN protocols. My son, A.J., is 5.5 years old, and we have been working with DAN doctors since he was 15 months old--bad reaction to MMR. A.J. is also a major sufferer of GI disease, but cannot tolerate any meds.

Based on the advice of Dr. Krigsman, we stopped all medications and supplements, starting SCD (was GFCF since 15 months old). This diet took away all of A.J.'s pain and cramping.

To prepare for Valtrex (the only medical intervention we have yet to try), I started A.J. on Diflucan one week ago. Immediately, he broke out in a rash all over his face and started skipping a bowel movement every other day. He is also very emotional, a little out of it, and less eager to engage.

Has anyone seen this initially with Diflucan? Should we switch to Nizoral?

Thanks for any ideas out there!

Re: Day 35 Has anyone seen this?

Hi Missy,It's not a typical response to the therapy. I'm not sure how long the regression has been for you so I can't speak to that.I wonder if the "hair-like" things are actually hair. If so, then this is effecting the folicals and could be bacteria. Either way it sounds more bacterial or fungal based than it does viral based on it showing up on the arms and the description of the rash... but that's obviously just my opinion at this point.I would consider doing Diflucan more often and Nystatin less and doing an OATS test asap to see what bacteria or fungus might be the cause. In the meantime, to do some natural antimicrobial and natural antifungal on top of what you are doing might be a good idea as well.In my view, I believe the answer will be bacterial or fungal.Keep us posted.- Stan> >> > Drew now has a pimply rash with little white, hairlike things popping> > out of them.
