Guest guest
Are you sure the fever wasn't due to strep throat? She could have PANDAS. One of the tell tell signs is Tics (blinking) and OCD issues. Here is a link: http://intramural.nimh.nih.gov/pdn/gen_info.htm it can be fixed with Antibiotics Flo > > Hi, > > I read this group almost daily but have never posted before. > > I've started my daughter on Valtrex (250mgx2) and Diflucan (50mg) a > week ago and the experience so far has been horrible. Guest guest
Hi Flo, Thanks for the tip. The blinking happens only when she gets emotional, so does this this count as a sign for PANDAS? I am thinking of waiting it out to see if the behaviours will subside and my DAN has recommended that we stop Valtrex and Diflucan for a few days. If the behaviours go away by then, he suggested with reintroduce Valtrex to see if it is the cause. If the case was due to PANDAS (although we don't remember seeing this before in the past when she gets sick, well even NT sick kids do have some behaviours), must it be treated with antibiotics or will it resolve with time. Any other more natural treatment? Thanks, Simon > > > > Hi, > > > > I read this group almost daily but have never posted before. > > > > I've started my daughter on Valtrex (250mgx2) and Diflucan (50mg) > a > > week ago and the experience so far has been horrible.
