I just called EAS and they said that the runner up's had been notified already. I was wondering if our hopefuls here had heard anything yet!!!! , Cheryl, .....have you been notified??? I am dying to know if any of you gals have come in as runner ups!!! Do tell!!!!

Are you sure they said that all the runners-up had been notified, too? I haven't heard a word from anyone on any of the boards....it is hard to believe that , , Cheryl, Pete & , Sanieh, & Stacie, Pam B., Kim L., etc. weren't one of the ruuners-up.

That is what the gal at EAS said. She said the runners-up had ALREADY been notified. That the other 1969 would be notified by mail and at the BFL site by the middle of January. I was VERY disappointed to hear they had been notified and apparently it was no one on the boards...since no one has posted! Bear in mind though, she was referring to the top three! There are still MANY more distant runners-up to go!!! I hope to hear from all you truly remarkable transformations that you have won SOMETHING!!!!

I agree with you. When I see the caliber of the people on this list with WONDERFUL transformations I can't help but wonder about the winners. They must have some truly great things to say in the answers to the essay questions. Plus, they must be wildly wonderful and inspirational! I know the competition was steep! I wonder how many truly phenomenal physical transformations took place. I can't even imagine trying to pick the top THREE in each category!!!! There must have been hundreds...maybe even thousands with "winning" transformations..I only "knew" a few on these lists.....think of all the ones who aren't even on the internet!!!! They were out there inspiring in some other way! I am disappointed for everyone who has waited patiently for the phone to ring and it hasn't happened! You are all champs to me!

I am very proud of my transformation but, to be honest, I thought all along that my transformation was not " big " enough to win anything. Meaning that I wasn't in terrible shape to begin with (well - my love handles WERE pretty bad but not as bad as most of the champions start out as). After all, this IS a transformation contest and no matter how well we end up, it makes sense to choose the ones who started out worse off. Does that make sense? The girl who won the youngest age group....now that is some awesome transformation!!! Imagine how her life will be different because she took control and made the transformation that she did. I can only imagine how powerful her essay must have been - quite emotional, I imagine. All of the champions made huge physical changes whereas I ended up in great shape but didn't really have that far to go to get there. I realize that the essays do count 50% but once people have made the awesome changes they have, they probably all convey what it's done for them pretty well. I'd say it's pretty much a given that their essays would be awesome, too!

I often wondered if I would be disappointed when I saw who the champions were for this year. I was not disappointed at all - it is evident that they all made huge changes and will surely inspire a broader range of people than someone who was already in OK shape (such as myself).

I hope this all comes across the way I am feeling it!
