New, Dr. Rao? other questions

Hi all,

We've been doing biomed meaning supplements and MB12 since last Oct.

We saw Dr. Rao in Plano, Tx for 2 visits. We are in NE OK so it is a

pretty long drive. Does anyone know if he does Valtrex or if not of

any good doctors that I have missed in our area?

Also, how does it work on high functioning kids? My daughter is 9,

didn't speak until about 2 1/2 then few words. Has steadily improved

but still has problems w/ speech, syntax. Trouble with learning,

reading. Chronic constipation. Never was a child that was sick alot

but when she had a fever would become very verbal and sound

really " normal " Interestingly she hasn't had a fever since starting

all this last Oct.

Her viral panel showed a very high Epstien Barr Virus, over 1000.

Also her labs showed yeast and vitamin C deficiency.

I need to know if Valtrex sounds like a good plan for her and if it

would be a wise choice to start before chelation...we haven't done

any of that.

If you google DAN doctors you can get the whole list and see if anyone els/e is closer to you. It gives addresses and tel. numbers. -Hello, I see Dr. Rao and all I did was call and tell him that I read

about Valtrex and he had write me a perscription. I bet if

you call on the nurse advice line and tell her how far you are

away she can get Dr. Rao to call it in. He also had Sunny call in

the B-12 nasal sprays. I would just call. My son has been seeing

him for almost three years and has made huge progress but the Valtrex

seems to be helping his verbal and social skills more. Semens--

Hi Cara,

I see Dr Rao also. I asked him for valtrex and he prescribed it

for my 3 yr old. You'll need to also ask him for diflucan or

nizoral.

We also see Dr Rao and we never have tried the valtrex. Is there a test that is given to indicate that it is needed? Thanks. Cara,

My son is a new patient of Dr Rao in Plano, but only b/c we are new

to the DFW area, not biomed. My son has been on valtrex for 19 mos.

We saw nice gains in gross motor initially and resolved almost all

sensory issues. I have always felt he was very viral (Dr in

Austin is the rx'ing Dr for his valtrex, though Rao knows Dr

and I believe agrees with valtrex as an option for biomed

treatment). We recently took valtrex out of his protocol for a month

and upon reintro. got a full blister rash all over again. Obviously,

it is necessary for my son.

We have also been chelating for 18 mos. and my son tolerates it well.

My son has unusually high strep titers, we are awaiting a PANDAS

test result now. I think valtrex was one of the most important

things we did. By the way, it completely resolved my older son's

sensory issues which were misdx as ADHD. He no longer qualifies for

a label and is 12 yrs. old.

high but not off the charts. We never treated until I asked for

valtrexlast month after learning more about the virus connection to

metals. I've seen more language from my son.
