Guest guest
I don't think that sounds like regression, I think it sounds like the same anxiety that most kids go through at this age. My nt sons started asking for baby bottles when they were 9-10, to suck on before bedtime (I let them do it, but offered lots of hugs and quality attention during the day. It passes in about a month). Our kids live in this scary word, and 9 is just about the time when they start to get frightened by TV and gossip at school. If anything, I think your son has made huge emotional gains. Give him a hug for me and please keep him away from TV news programs. He even says he doesn't know what's going on with him. He started talking baby talk, when I told him to talk like a 9 yr old, he said "ok fine, I just think it's more fun to be a baby". The cognition is there, I just think he's reverting back a bit, but he knows he's doing it and doesn't know why. Does that make sense??
