Guest guest
Anne, I know that this time when I add back in Calcium it will be citrate or marine coral cal separate from D to start. I know Natasa was hoping that the LDN would help the calcium channels but I’m not sure how that’s going. Let us know if you are able to reintroduce it. Guest guest
Anne, I don't know that one, we haven't tried supplementing again since that original bad reaction. Also, that first episode made me 'revisit' our son's lab test results, which show calcium within range, which made me question why on earth I wanted to supplement it in the first place... it is not neuroprotective or has any other benefits that our kids might need extra help with, like eg magnesium (which btw actually protects agains calcium neurotoxicity!!) so I am still puzzled as to why should the kids with normal ranges have to supplement it at all... Alison, are you going to give it with meals in citrate form, as per LOD/ Owens recommendations? Were your son's levels originally low? Good luck and keep us posted! Maurine, glad to hear the chewing stopped!!! Natasa > > > > I discussed this with my Dr. last week. Guest guest
Natasa, My son's calcium levels have always been in range too, despite the fact that we have never supplemented him much and he has not gotten much from his diet in a while. That gives me cause for concern. Where it is coming from? Probably the bones.... Not good. Anne > > > > > > I discussed this with my Dr. last week. Guest guest
Natasa, My son's calcium levels have always been in range too, despite the fact that we have never supplemented him much and he has not gotten much from his diet in a while. That gives me cause for concern. Where it is coming from? Probably the bones.... Not good. Anne > > > > > > I discussed this with my Dr. last week. Guest guest
Ditto here. My son has always been on the low end but always within range. Again we do not have to supplement much - I give 200 mg a day plus the 30% he gets from the milk substitutes (rice milk and Dairyfree). On the other hand he depletes magnesium a lot faster, I give him maybe 4-5 times that. Shows up as deficient on the EAV. By the way Yasko says calcium is an excitotoxin so if your glutamate is high you should avoid it, get it from natural sourcers such as nettle and chammomile. That stopped me from worrying about it, temporarily. Thanks for the tip about citrate. Also I did not know that B-12 deficiency manifested in the red tipped tongue and sides, good to know. Guest guest
Natasa, I haven’t started yet. I just made the appointment to start TD-DMSA next Wednesday so I’m not rocking any boats at the moment. CJ’s calcium was low normal so I wasn’t in dire straights to retry. But with chelation I will have to watch it. Glad to know about the magnesium. I have been meaning to increase the baths. Maurine, I’m so glad you found the shirt chewing culprit. Maybe after some more time on the OLE you will see some changes in processing abilities. - From: mb12 valtrex [mailto:mb12 valtrex ] On Behalf Of natasa778 Sent: Tuesday, June 06, 2006 6:59 PM mb12 valtrex Subject: Re: Natasa/: Calcium.. was/Valtrex opening methylation pathway? Guest guest
That’s really interesting about the taurine. The day CJ got his nose bleed the only thing I did was add L-lysine.
