Quest IgG measles antibody

My NT son's Quest IgG Measles Antibody is 2.31. Ref. range is as follows:

<=0.90 NEGATIVE

0.91-1.09 EQUIVOCAL

>=1.10 POSITIVE

What does this mean? Does this mean that he has viral issues? He is very NT. His only issue is that he is tiny, has low IGF-I, and probably has malabsorption. We are chelating him and also using natural antifungals for possible yeast. Thanks.

I don't know what the others think but to me it looks like he

has the measles sitting in his body. Standard labs will just say he

has " immunity " but to those of us with these numbers and concurrent

problems, it means something else. Also if you happened to read Dan

Olmstead's article about how the Varicella (chickenpox vaccine)

given within 3 months of the MMR potentiates the measles virus

causing kids to have autism (WA state area, probably Olympia) then

it might possibly mean something else. Have you considered anti-

virals for him?

My PDD-NOS son's titres at 6 years after month 13 shots were 1.9

(same lab reference range as yours) but he did get the Varicella

less than 2 months after it. AND he had the Pertussis IgM antibodies

in the Indeterminate range, close to Detected. And he is a seizures

kid. And at 7.5 years the antibodies to the measles were still at

1.41. Had not gone down much in 1.5 years. It was after this and a

mild LNH in the GI scope and after talking to Dr. Krigsman that I

started to take a relook at the numbers and began treating for

measles. We were also in Dr. McCandless study about 2 years ago and

his numbers on the saliva and blood were not very high, she did not

think he warranted a high dose Vitamin A protocol.

Bottomline, if you have any kind of titres at all to the measles you

should try and treat it, because depending on what's going on in

your body virally alongside of the measles and your genetic

predisposition, your child might be in big trouble.

I hope I have not alarmed you too much but we are shaped by the

circumstances we endure and its been fairly rough at our end, makes

me more cautious and fearful than most.

This is an article that talks about a safe recommended vaccination

schedule. It talks about the MMR and then antibodies to the measles

and what it means.

" Investigators have found, for example, live measles virus in the

cerebral spinal fluid in children who become autistic after MMR

vaccination. Antibodies to measles virus are elevated in children

with autism but not in normal kids, suggesting that virus-induced

autoimmunity may play a causal role. "

at that time, to be honest, I thought I did not see anything.

He was very tired and looking out of it the day after the two day

protocol and then brightened after I gave him his B vitamins (usual

daily dose). In hindsight there might have been a lessening of the

blank staring spells but I don't clearly recall it. On the other

hand I started the high Vitamin A dose CLO yesterday and gave him

10,000 IUs yesterday and 10,000 IUs today and have not had him zone

out since. Thinking of dropping it down to 5,000 IUs a day from

tomorrow on.....
