Guest guest
I started my 9 yo ds on Lauricidin on Sat. the 20th. On Sun. he started singing! He has refused to sing or yelled at me to not sing for the last 3 years. It was so sad because we used to sing together all the time. He is now often asking me to sing! Plus yesterday at school instead of sitting with his aide and the girls in his class at lunch, he said, "I want to sit with the boys" and went over and sat with them on his own. I have suspected he was viral for ages as his lower lip was swollen from age 2 to 4, and I always felt it was a virus. Needless to say I'm very happy with this treatment! There are more behaviors, and he has some repetitive speech, which had left for a while, but the gains are good. I noticed some parents are doing Lauricidin, OLE and Virastop. What is that protocol? Do you just introduce a new antiviral every 2 weeks, or should I wait longer in between? All 3 at once, and for how long approximately? Also, our Naturopath said Lauricidin is also antifungal. I'd love to not have to add another pill, but is it felt yeast must still be addressed on this 3 OTC antiviral protocol? I don't have access to Valtrex. Guest guest
That is so great !! Congrats! Our DAN just told me to start my son on monolauren, is that the same thing as lauricidin? She said 300 to 600mg/day. My son is about 30#, does that sound right? Where do you get it? Thanks. Sorry I don't have any answers, I am still in the asking questions stage. > > I started my 9 yo ds on Lauricidin on Sat. the 20th. On Sun. he started singing! Guest guest
I read that Lauricidin and monolaurin (spelling??) are derived from coconut oil? Is that correct? I have coconut oil - if I used that would it have any of the same benefits? - -- In mb12 valtrex , " Victor & " <curlytatertot@...> wrote: > > That is so great !! Congrats! (crushed moth balls) Yes, it looks like little pellets. I hadn't thought it looked like moth balls but now that you mention it.... My son just swallows them right down so not a problem here. Guest guest
I am using Lauricidin from http://www.lauricidin.com/ Its my understanding that Dr. McCandless recommends this brand. I am sure this is much more potent than coconut oil, although coconut oil is good to use in addition. There is much more information on the web site above. This form is in small pearls, so pretty easy to dose. I started my ds on 3 pearls, 2x a day and worked our way up to about 20 now, 3x a day. I no longer count them out, I just fill the bottom of the scoop. He woke up this morning with a swollen bottom lip, which he had for 2 years a while back and I always felt was viral, so this is a good sign! I'd still love answers to my questions below if anyone can help. I noticed some parents are doing Lauricidin, OLE and Virastop. What is that protocol?
