I find that for teenagers gift cards are always a

great gift. They can choose what they want from their

favorite store.

My son got both of those for his birthday

last month and LOVES them!

Also, most all of the kids in the Aspie

Kids Only group that Lynn

started have it and they really like to talk about it.

My son is 10 and desperatly wants a nintendo ds so he can play

nintendogs. It is one of the interactive games that the more that you

play, the more that you can do. He loves animals, so with this he gets to

train them, and in a way, interact with them. Tracey

Re:

Gifts etc..

I bought him both years ago and he never used them, we wound up selling

them at a garage sale. Of, course they weren't the real expensive kinds,

but were pretty decent. He has also received gift cards in the past for

toys-R-us and when I would take him, we would be in there for an hour and would

leave empty handed cause he is just too particular. I took him back a

week later and he saw a flat screen TV there in the electronics department for

135.00, and he wanted that, so that's what he got. It just seems, he gets

bored with things too fast. If we buy him a video game or DVD movie he

gets bored with them and wants to get rid of it shortly thereafter.

That's why I almost hate to get him video games, especially at the price they

are. Thanks guys for your advice. I will let you all know what I decide

to buy him.

We do have EB games and Gamestop out here, where you can sell and buy used games. I have gotten upset with my son a few times though for selling 35.00 dollar games there for a couple dollars in almost new condition. But you are right, you can get them alot cheaper. I have boughten both my son's games in there in the past. Sometimes they don't always have what your looking for. I tried last christmas to get him Jurassic Park Operation Genesis there, and none of those stores carried it because it was so new. I actually think my husband wound up purchasing it online. Thanks for your advice. Charlotte <scottdesigns@...> wrote:

I'm like you ....all Clay wants is the new star wars video game. All he wanted last year was the dvd set of star wars. H wants the new dino toy called robo raptor, but it's 100 bucks and if I get it for him I know he'll play with it 5 minutes and then never touch it again. So ,definitely gonna do the video game, but don't know what else. I know, it KILLS me what you get for them

compared to what you buy them for new. I get really mad when he has a handful

of Games getting ready to trade them in and all I can see is about $200 in his

hand instead of Games!
