Welcome to our group , I am . I am the medical researcher here and a moderator . I wish I could tell you that there was a suppliment out there that would get rid of the virus , shoot I'd be on it in a second LOL but unfortunately there is none . There is a suppliment you can take that will help prevent your liver from further injury and that is Milk Thistle . If you are taking anything with iron in it be careful, a side effect of this disease can also be iron overload which would further damage your liver along with damaging your heart and kidneys . Even though treatment failed me I highly reccomend it , it is the only proven treatment . Once again welcome to the group !

Hi, I'm just starting here, so hello to all of you! Ihave Hep.C, geno-type 1, and I have been usingalternative medicine, mostly immune supportsupplements, but of course my viral load is still onthe rise. Has anyone heard of a supplement to kill thevirus? No disrespect meant, I just want to exhaust allthe courses before I have to subject myself tointerferon treatment. Hi Jacque I am Jackie, one of the moderators here and just wanted to say WELCOME! Sadly, I dont know of anything natural that will kill off the virus but there are things you can take that will help your liver to not destruct so quickly. I totally understand not wanting to do Interferon tx, I didnt have a choice when I found it cuz I was stage 3-4 with early cirrhosis. I was able to successfully put my virus into remission and have remained so more than 3 years after finishing treatment. Like I told Liz in her post to you, I took a milk thistle product that caused my lfts to drop by half before I started tx and I took it all the way through tx,, and I made it.. I totally believe in Liver Essentials. What you can do is to eat a good diet with low fat proteins, no sugar, no white carbos, drink half of your body weight in filtered water a day, and watch what you take , OTC meds can harm your liver, some supplements can also. Like

gee sounds like fun lol i took NAC and some other liver suppliments last time..the NAC really helped with the sx..I might look into them again..geri
