Guest guest
BFLers, I have enjoyed as of late reading the posts regarding Bill and the distressing new direction of the money hungry corporate types at EAS. While I too lament Bill's absence from EAS. It is because HE SOLD IT FOR HUGE DOLLARS!!!!! Bills ideals have helped and continue to help countless people but he is an entreprenuer before he is a philanthropist. He was the Ernst and Young Entreprenuer of the Year a few years ago before any of us had ever heard of him. The challenge (while a wonderful vehicle for changing peoples lives) was an even more wonderful vehicle for selling supplements, which is why EAS became the company it did. Remember, to be a wealthy philanthropist, you must first be wealthy. This does not make Bill a greedy money hungry corporate type. It makes him smart. I hope he continues to stay at the forefront of fitness and inspiration to others. And, as long as EAS continues to provide quality cutting edge supplements and Muscle Media continues to provide quality information and inspiration, lets cut them some slack. Just my opinion. Have a wonderful Christmas. Mark

Guest guest
Hear, hear, Mark! I think you hit the nail on the head... who says Bill has to be either financially successful OR deeply caring about others? Why on earth can't he be both, and use each to boost the other? The two are not mutually exclusive. " Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in some; it is in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others. MRPs are never a good replacement for whole foods. MRPs are only good when people are on high protein kicks and find it difficult to consume several pounds of chicken a day. or when people think they need to be eating every couple of hours and cant organise the required number of meals. much of EAS' " research " is extremely dubious, I dont think anyone else ever replicated EAS' miraculous results with HMB. probably why they hide it with creatine. any research which is funded by a corporate be it EAS or AST or any other sup company with the intention of marketing a supplement generally has to be taken with a grain of salt at least until wide spread colaborating results occur. Guest guest
Oh, for crying out loud, Deus, knock off the confrontational crap. The attacks on both Kit and the BFL program in general are getting old. Firstly, Kit was making a very valid point, that decent-quality meal replacements are becoming a lot more readily available to the general public. He was making no claims that they should replace whole foods, and your response directed at him such as it was, was both inappropriate and offensive. I agree with you that whole foods should be used whenever possible. Science is discovering new vitamins and nutrients every time we turn around, so we can't be sure that we're getting absolutely everything we need when we take in synthesized foods or meal replacements. And I also agree with you that we shouldn't throw ourselves full-body into research which is only supported by one or two studies presented by an entity which stands to make financial gain off of the results. But to then attack the basis of the BFL program by calling the eating program's emphasis on protein as a " high protein kick " and talk about people who " think they need to eat every couple of hours " ... well, again, your comments appear derogatory. Now I certainly appreciate your techinical input and suggestions as much as anyone else's. I also very much appreciate Kit's. So why the heck do you have such a chip on your shoulder? Again, I have to agree with and the others - what the HECK are you doing in a BFL forum if you so vhemently disagree with the BFL principles? Can you not share your knowledge and advice without trying to make the rest of us look like some pathetic group of misguided lowlifes? I'm sorry if this email is harsh. I just find it very frustrating that every second posting lately seems to be either you discrediting the program, or someone having to defend it against your posts. Ok Deus, just to clarify, which program you are following? Would you please tell us how many meals you eat a day? I'd also like to hear just what kind of workout program you are using.
