Guest guest
Hi ; Your post is so timely for us!! Our DAN doc prescribed colloidal silver for my severely autistic daughter about a month ago - Argentyn 23 is the brand we are using too. I have been hesitant to try it as I have been reading of the potentially horrible side effects of a poorly made product (permanent gray skin discolouration). I spoke with my DAN last night who persuaded me to give it a try, as my daughter has been catching every cold virus for the last month and a half. He said there has been a lot of research done in Japan (re Argentyn 23). Supposedly kills EVERYTHING - even HIV. I have yet to read any research. As you mentioned Argentyn 23 is an excellent product because the nano-particles of silver are so very small. My DAN said to be wary of cheap colloidal silver as the particles are much larger (sometimes visible in the bottle). I have just begun using the Argentyn 23 on my daughter. Gave her her first dose last night. I'll be sure to let you know what I observe. I have been trying to get my DAN to prescribe valtrex for my daughter for months. The Argentyn 23 was his way of placating me until he does further research on valtrex. I think he is closer to giving valtrex a try though (I have sent him lots of info from this excellent group). Feel free to contact me if you have any questions! Kim :-) Yet another antiviral/antibacterial/antifungal -- Colloidal Silver... Ok, here is something else that is going to shake things up around here. Has anyone else tried this?Recently, everyone in my family got extremely ill. Since I am not a big antiobiotic type of person, we decided to talk to a few doctors who use natural medicines. Two of them recommended using Colloidal Silver to knock out what everyone had. Guest guest
as you says this may shake things up around here. Was wondering what everyone else might have to say. I know this is a controversial subject and im not trying to stir the pot, just trying to bring in other views and experiences that we may all learn from the topic. If anyone knows me that is my nature to ask Q's that we all may learn. Just to let you know I am not being argumentative. Just looking to reinforce what we learn and share it amongst one another. We can lean allot from each other and where we may have been or what we may hear and experienced as well. So with that said I will say, it has been the view among the chelating community that if you have a child that is already heavy metal burdened that Colloidal Silver is not a good idea to implement until you have at least addressed these issues first. That would make sense only to overload an already burdened system. Now I know that this is primarily an antiviral board and we may see things a bit different in the methodology we were all were exposed to. I am the new kid on the block so excuse me if im out of line here. One thing that I do know from the work of many within the Dan! Community is that heavy metals in the presence of antibiotics increase heavy metal toxicity. I think we all can agree that either the over use of antibiotics in combo to vaccinations cause allot of problems for some of our children. And the addition to Hg and all the viral as well as poisons in our vacations is what has got most of us here in the first place. Now I do not know enough about the product in its mechanisms behind them. But I do know overtime that these products were brought up as topics they were not at the popular view as something to entertain. Again this what I have read and am just sharing with you guys so don't shoot the messenger. Maybe I am wrong and the opinions have changed, but I would think it is only fair to the new reader that both views and opinions may be exposed so that others may have more of an understanding. Again I am one to always heed to the side of caution and I don't know enough about such products and would sure like others to understand more about them before moving forward. I think when deciding, learning and implementing so many of these biomedical options it is also important to hear both sides of the issues. That would be good bad and ugly. As an example: four years ago I though that chelation was supposed to have regressions associated with them you know the horns and tails, meltdowns and regression. Well I bear to differ that today and no longer believe if you Chelate properly and support the system you should NOT have to experience that. This is another subject that requires a longer explanation but my point is after I learned how Chelate properly and what signs to look for I would not have to put my child through any unnecessary stresses on the body. But it was the signs that gave indication that the protocol may not be in place. Now I know what virile regression etc. it may be diffent and im trying to learn about those before going forward. I guess that is what has brought me here. Anyway I was very hurt after discovering what I had mentioned above and am very sensitive to regression now so I must heed the caution of the reader, Many of times on these boards we hear of new products that get rave revue and many parents report all the good stuff, but we don't hear as much from the other side. Just opening it op for further discussion, and maybe someone else may want to chime in. Thanks for listening Kenny V > > Ok, here is something else that is going to shake things up around > here. Guest guest
Kenny, You are not at all out of line, this is an interesting discussion, and I value everyone's opinion on this, and I appreciate you sharing your opinion. This is the type of discussion I hoped would be generated and I wanted to get other views. Whenever I treat my kids including before I started chelation, I always got several opinions, mostly from other people that have done it. This time I was not able to that because I did not have much time up front. That is one of the reasons I am doing it now. > So with that said I will say, it has been the view among the > chelating community that if you have a child that is already heavy > metal burdened that Colloidal Silver is not a good idea to implement > until you have at least addressed these issues first. That would > make sense only to overload an already burdened system. I have seen both views, and you are definitely right, this is somewhat controversial to some of the chelating community. One doctor that we have gotten to know was mercury poisoned herself and chelated herself when nobody else knew what was wrong with her, and she has no problem with this stuff after she researched it for 15 years. She has two PHDs and a master's degree. She said that there is good stuff and really bad stuff, and the good stuff is clear with extremely microscopic suspended particles, and for the most part the stuff goes right through you. On the other hand our DAN! is not very fond of it at all because he does not know much about it, and along with others worries about the Silver part of it. I have been chelating my son since June, and much of his toxic burden is gone. I had to make a choice between antibiotics and something else, and I chose colloidal silver at the advice of several others, and it worked very well. So to summarize, I am by no means trying to get people on the CS bandwagon. That is definitely not my intention. I myself even mentioned that I was apprehensive about using it, and even offered my own disclaimer in the original post about it. I do know that I am not the only one who has tried this as an alternative to antibiotics, and I wanted to get some other views and opinions on it from others who have also used it. I was hoping for this type of dialogue so that people can develop their own opinions about it while realizing the concerns of people that do not support its use. Thanks for your input,

Guest guest
I have heard that it kills everything in there and so should be used sparingly, i.e., a few days and stop. That sort of appeals to my logic. Guest guest
Hi Kim, This is the first reference to Argentyn 23 I've read. I can't find anything in the medical literature on it, but certainly references on the web explaining it similarly as you are, a smaller molecule silver. The thing that concerns me about smaller molecules is that, in theory, it is more likely to slip though intestinal wall and be systemic. The more systemic it is, the more toxic it may become. On the other hand (and I like to look at things from both sides) there are references on the web like this one: " No research has shown that any known disease-causing organism can live in the presence of even minute traces of the chemical element of metallic silver. " So, I obviously see the attraction to looking at this product, but I'm still cautiously concerned about silver toxicity. These types of quotes were very similar to the quotes used about mercury in vaccines and in silver fillings. I posted the question to the DAN! Physician and Researchers group. Maybe they can shed more light on this. I'll let you know. - Stan > > Hi ; > > Your post is so timely for us!! Guest guest
Thank-you Stan! I of course have my reservations but my DAN doc reassured me there is no danger of metal toxicity. This is from a DAN who is ultra conservative/careful and researches everything before he prescribes. I have mentioned to him my concerns re metal toxicity and permanent skin discolouration - still assures me ARGENTYN 23 product is safe. He DOES NOT recommend using cheaply made colloidal silver from your local HFS. Yes, please let us know what the DAN think tank thinks about Argentyn 23 (I'm not saying colloidal silver as I don't think the A23 is in the same class as cheaply made colloidal silver). Kim :-) Re: Yet another antiviral/antibacterial/antifungal -- Colloidal Silver... ....I posted the question to the DAN! Physician and Researchers group. Maybe they can shed more light on this. I'll let you know.- Stan
Guest guest
Thank-you Stan! I of course have my reservations but my DAN doc reassured me there is no danger of metal toxicity. This is from a DAN who is ultra conservative/careful and researches everything before he prescribes.
