Guest guest
Here's the difference. Last week was our 2nd week on Valtrex and my son's teacher told me that whatever I did DON'T CHANGE A THING, because my son was doing absolutely awesome. The doc upped the dose to 1000mg 2 x per day so I ran out really quick. Then blue cross wanted pre-authorization which has now taken 3 days to get done. TODAY my son had a bad day, copped a total attitude to his teacher. She told me yesterday was the same way. Coinscidentally we've been out of Valtrex for 2 days. The pharmacy says that if I didn't want to wait for authorization it would be like $250 per month. Is that what everyone is paying?? Guest guest
We just went through this with our MB12 shots. We filled the script on 4/18 and I called less than 1 month later and insurance wouldn't approve payment until 5/18. We are going from every 3 days to every day and even with the change in dosage they wouldn't pay unless I ordered on 5/18 or later. So maybe its the same thing with your insurance, a time thing more than anything else My co pay for most scripts is $5 but I paid $22 for a 30 day supply of Valtrex In a message dated 5/18/2006 7:25:49 PM Eastern Daylight Time, Tamiduncan@... writes: Last week was our 2nd week on Valtrex and my son's teacher told me that whatever I did DON'T CHANGE A THING, because my son was doing absolutely awesome. Guest guest
That sounds about right as far as price. You may want to consider buying out of your pocket and getting reimbursed by your insurance if you can. I don't want to think about what those viruses are doing rigth now. - Stan > > Here's the difference. > > Last week was our 2nd week on Valtrex and my son's teacher told me that > whatever I did DON'T CHANGE A THING, because my son was doing absolutely awesome. > > The doc upped the dose to 1000mg 2 x per day so I ran out really quick. Guest guest
I just called for the second script, I will let you know if it gets covered, if it didn’t they probably would have called me by now. Guest guest
Yes! I've seen great things with Valtrex for high Varicella. Tell your husband to drive carefully. We don't want the Valtrex to be in car accident. You're paying cash. - Stan > > You're right...my husband is getting the valtrex right now. We can't go > another day. Guest guest
Sounds like a bargain price to me. My son takes (3)500 mg Valtrex a day. The 90 tab prescription cost me $40.00 with my prescription card (NOT Blue Cross). The paperwork from Walgreens tells me that my insurance saved me %505.89.
