HELP? Kombucha - very strong alcohol taste

Good evening,

We are very new to drinking Kombucha -buying it at a local farmer when

it is available. My teenage son tried it tonight and asked (for the

hundredth time) are you sure this isn't alcoholic. Tonight it tasted

quite strong, and I do have to admit, did taste strongly like alchohol -

reminded me of hard cider.

So....was it too old, too strong, is it suppose to taste this way?

I've not had it this strong before and don't know why it was so

strong...but again - clearly had a taste of an alcoholic beverage!

Any input and / or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
