Guest guest
Hi I do not know if this has anything to do with it, but per our DAN we just increased from 500 mgs of Valtrex per day to 750 mgs per day (we will go to 1000 mgs next week -- given 250 mgs 4 times per day) and my 5 year old son was covered with sweat when I went into his room tonight. His forehead was drenched with sweat. I have never seen anything like it. He does not have a fever and was not sick at bedtime. He does have pretty bad viral issues. I washed it off with a cool towel and he did not wake up. I remember he sweated a lot when we first started the td dmps, but does anyone know what excessive nighttime sweating could indicate? And even back then (last October) the sweat was nothing like this. Since starting Valtrex, I think we are seeing gains in gross motor skills, balance and higher level speech, but it could also be wishful thinking. He is definitely spending less time upside down. I really do not want to jinx it, but he has not spun in almost 2 weeks. This would be a record for the all time spinner. He is also on: CLO, taurine, bethanechol, co q 10, probiotics, oil of oregano (for yeast), Nystatin -- works so far but we may up to diflucan, zinc, multi b supplement, b 12, calcium, vitamin C (perque), magnesium, minerals, gsh and .. I can not remember the rest. Thanks Vera

Guest guest
The sweat could easily be from detox, especially if you see it with with TD-DMPS. I have had a hunch for some time that TD methods of metals detox are helping the skin to detox metals rather than the traditional ways that oral IV use the liver and kidneys. This may explain why we don't see high levels of metals in the stool or urine tests. I also see night sweating in some children with fungal issues, so I would make sure you have an antifungal onboard. - Stan > > Hi > > I do not know if this has anything to do with it, but per our DAN we just increased from 500 mgs of Valtrex per day to 750 mgs per day (we will go to 1000 mgs next week -- given 250 mgs 4 times per day) and my 5 year old son was covered with sweat when I went into his room tonight. Guest guest
Stan, this sweating issue is very interesting. My grandson is a sweater at night-big time. I did do TD-DMPS for 7 months and never saw anything on a urine test come out--Nice to think it wasn't all for naught if what you say might be true. but of course, he's not healed yet. Guest guest
Vera, My son started to sweat when we started TD-glutathione. I think it’s a great sign to sweat. Daily toxins are removed from our bodies when we sweat. When CJ started to sweat at night after application of the glut I realized he had never really sweat before. - From: mb12 valtrex [mailto:mb12 valtrex ] On Behalf Of Vera Sent: Thursday, May 18, 2006 2:35 AM mb12 valtrex Subject: Re: Covered in sweat tonight; could it be serious Hi I do not know if this has anything to do with it, but per our DAN we just increased from 500 mgs of Valtrex per day to 750 mgs per day (we will go to 1000 mgs next week -- given 250 mgs 4 times per day) and my 5 year old son was covered with sweat when I went into his room tonight. Guest guest
Maybe his metals issue wasn't just skin related. You may want to try a different type of administration... but that's just a theoretical suggestion from a guy who never chelated his kid. - Stan > > > > Hi > > > > I do not know if this has anything to do with it, but per our DAN we just increased from > 500 mgs of Valtrex per day to 750 mgs per day (we will go to 1000 mgs next week -- > given 250 mgs 4 times per day) and my 5 year old son was covered with sweat when I > went into his room tonight. Guest guest
I use the Houston Nutraceutical OLE (though I don't have any real reason, other than I like the company). I recompound it into size 3 capsules for my little guy who is very adept at taking pills. It is a pain, but worth it to not have to take " yucky bites. Guest guest
I have never done the pills, but I would crush them if it were my kid, and spread out the dosing during the day. One thing to note is that many of these OLE brands use different dosing depending on strength. I would look at the maximum dosage per day for that brand and call the manufacturer if you have to and work your way up to the maximum dose for your child. I really like the idea of splitting the tablet up if you can or you need to. 500mg seems like a lot initially depending on the strength of it and concentration of the active ingredient. > > > > > > > > Hi > > > > > > > > I do not know if this has anything to do with it, but per our DAN we just increased > > from > > > 500 mgs of Valtrex per day to 750 mgs per day (we will go to 1000 mgs next week -- > > > given 250 mgs 4 times per day) and my 5 year old son was covered with sweat when I > > > went into his room tonight. Guest guest
I will not try and sugar coat it for you. the stuff we got was nasty tasting I took it for 3 months, and I had to mix it with a soft drink and put 40 drops in a shot glass 3 times a day. Then I would chase it. It was the Wild Oats house brand. It was only 9.95 a bottle. Money well spent. http://www.wildoats.com Since my son got a much lesser dose, it was not as nasty, but all the same, I have not heard of any brand that was tasty. I am not sure if you have your child on a diet or not, but here are a few suggestions that worked for us. Mix it with Cod Liver Oil and give it in a syringe if he will take it. We had no problem doing it this way. You may want to put the end of the syringe toward the back of the mouth so it avoids most of the taste buds if you can. Another thing that we used was grape juice. Good Luck! > > > > > > > > > > Hi > > > > > > > > > > I do not know if this has anything to do with it, but per > our DAN we just increased > > > from > > > > 500 mgs of Valtrex per day to 750 mgs per day (we will go to > 1000 mgs next week -- > > > > given 250 mgs 4 times per day) and my 5 year old son was > covered with sweat when I > > > > went into his room tonight. Guest guest
well thanks for answering. Givenyour answer and since my grandson could beat the crap out of me-I am going to take the othr persons suggestion and get the caps and recompound them. It may take longer, but in the end it will save any bodily scars. He takes pills so well anyway....scottshoe11 <shoemaker@...> wrote: I will not try and sugar coat it for you. the stuff we got was nasty tasting I took it for 3 months, and I had to mix it with a soft drink and put 40 drops in a shot glass 3 times a day.
