Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Nearly two weeks ago, I started my daughter on eight tsp of CLO a day. She was doing just fine with no signs of toxicity, etc. On Monday, I gave her 500 mg of OLE (250 mg twice a day). Yesterday, she had a tiny red mark on her face which quickly receded. Today on her abdomen, she has brownish spots from her neck to her lower abdomen. Her yeast has flared and she is absolutely miserable (mostly due to yeast I think). We're throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the yeast. We've run of of Diflucan and will call our DAN! doctor for a refill tomorrow. We stopped everything until we get the Diflucan. My questions are, did I start out with too high a dose on the OLE? Could it really work that fast? Thanks, Orelindel
Guest guest
Eight tsps of CLO is an enormous amount. There is alot of vitamin A in CLO. Guest guest
We've seen some quick yeast flares with antiviral treatments. We're not exactly sure what the relationship is, but we do see this relationship quite often. It doesn't seem to happen in typical herpes cases. We can't find any evidence of it in the typical STD community, but we do see it quite often in the autism community. I would assume it's yeast and get back on the diflucan. Let us know if that does the trick. - Stan > > Hi Everyone, > > Nearly two weeks ago, I started my daughter on eight tsp of CLO a day. Guest guest
Orelindel, Why are you giving your daughter so much CLO? You mention toxicity-- you're not trying to do the high dose vitamin A protocol are you? It would seem to me that the CLO might be the culprit here. Some signs of Vitamin A toxicity are fatigue, emotional lability, scruffy rash. Are you describing these things? A sign of vitamin D toxicity is irritability. Is that part of what you mean by miserable? A big part of your OLE dose question might depend on the standardized level of oleuropein. But, just for some perspective, I started my son on 50 mg a day and worked up from their. I've done this stuff to myself and it is not easy to cope with how these treatments can make you feel. It is best to go slow. Anita > > Hi Everyone, > > Nearly two weeks ago, I started my daughter on eight tsp of CLO a day. Guest guest
Hi Anita, I recently switched to a higher potency CLO and it could a problem. But her misery comes from vaginal yeast. She's clawing at her crotch and crying. That didn't start until I added the OLE. I am also very new to this and may have misinterpreted something from the viruses file at autism mercury. I read in the viruses file that 500 to 1,000 IU of Vitamin A per pound can be used to address the immune and digestive system. She has digestive problems despite GFCF, SCD and enzyme. I was using Kirkman's OLE. The bottle says Olive Leaf Extract (Olea europaea) (leaf) 500 mg. std. to 6% Oleuropein 30 mg. As I've said. I've stopped everything. Although I don't think I'm seeing Vitamin A toxicity, I will assume that that is an issue and will wait before I restart it. How long should that take? Also I will drastically reduce the OLE when I restart that as well. Thanks for your insights and comments! Guest guest
Thanks Stan. My DAN! doctor has a.m. call-in hours 6 days a week. I'm calling him first thing. I'll keep you all posted. > > > > Hi Everyone, > > > > Nearly two weeks ago, I started my daughter on eight tsp of CLO a day. Guest guest
She is 50 lbs and 5 years old. We were using a lower potency CLO which was 500 to 1,000 IU per tsp. I've dropped the CLO. Will restart when I learn what the appropriate wait should be. > > > Hi Everyone, > > > > Nearly two weeks ago, I started my daughter on eight > > tsp of CLO a day. Guest guest
Hey Stan, I was doing some reading on why yeast flares as viruses die, and I know that some doctors think it is because as the viruses die off and give up their real estate in the gut, yeast tries to take it over. Thus the importance of antifungals, yeast fighters and probiotics. That made a lot of sense to me. Good to have you back! When my dd was in pain from vaginal yeast I'd stick her in the tub with just a few inches of water and a whole box of baking soda. It really takes the burning away. Then we'd use a yeast cream topically while giving her lots of probiotics and GSE to fight the yeast from the inside. -S

Guest guest
Hi again Orelindel, Would you be able to tell me what part of the viral file you're referring to here: >I read in the viruses file > that 500 to 1,000 IU of Vitamin A per pound can be used to address > the immune and digestive system. I don't remember that part. I think you may have misinterpreted something. The bottle says Olive Leaf Extract (Olea > europaea) (leaf) 500 mg. std. to 6% Oleuropein 30 mg. This isn't a very potent OLE, if you believe in the idea that the oleuropein is the working end of it, which I do most days. However, some of our kids are extremely reactive so drastically reducing is a good idea. I'm also a big believer in the immune boosters. Maybe you could start on some of those in the meantime. ONE at a time though, starting low, as with anything. Anita > > As I've said. I've stopped everything. I don't remember that part. I think you may have misinterpreted something. I'm concerned because I wrote the viral file and I want it to be as clear as possible to prevent these kinds of things. > I was using Kirkman's OLE. Guest guest
Hi Anita, Sorry for the delay, I've been out of town. I've pasted it here: " Andy provides a different perspective on the Vitamin A protocol for measles virus. Please see message number 112213 at autism treatment for details of his recommended approach. Here is my synopsis which leaves out a lot of detail: A loading dose isn't mandatory and it will in fact increase the risk. Use 500-1,000 IU per pound per day. If you choose to use a loading dose, do it once at ten times the daily dose. You are not just addressing the measles virus, which may or may not be the main problem, but are also trying to improve immune, intestinal, vision, and neurological functions, as well as eye contact. You are NOT trying to induce toxicity or the any signs of the measles. If you are using this protocol for a girl who has had a menstrual period, no more than 25,000 IU per day with NO loading dose. Signs of toxicity include a scruffy looking rash around the neck, cracked lips, headache, nausea, vomiting, lethargy, unusual hyperactivity, dry/rough skin.
