Tim, That doesn't sound like it is related to Hep C, that could be a sign of many different things. Heart problems, the way you sleep(type of mattress, pillows, elevation of bed). Even acid reflux problems. Of course my BEST advice is consul your physician. Some things to consider is with this pain is there nausea, a feeling of crushing pain on the chest, sweating, does it radiant down the extremities? These are signs of a heart attack and/or heart disease. If you do have any of the symptoms, call immediately your health care provider. My advice is call your doctor if it is something simple then it can be resolved with and under the care of your doctor. Love JanetHillbilly Tim <knoxweb1@...>

I have found I have pain in the hip joint and shoulder

joint that coincides with side I give my self an

injection. Since I give myself an the pegintron on

Friday nights, the pain lasts until Tuesday. It feels

like a deep bone pain and I'm restless and thrash all

night long. Can't sleep.

I've told my hepatologist about it; I've tried

Tylenol, Tylenol 3, Ultracet, Tramadol, and even

Oxycontin. NOTHING takes the edge off the pain. I've

just learned to live with. It sucks, but that's my

demon of the treatment besides dizziness. I'm loaded

up enough with drugs, I don't want to become dependent

on pain killers.

Gav, you are brave! I used norco for my pain as it was the only thing besides sitting in the hot tub that would take the edge off my deep bone aches..I found that the neupogen made me hurt even more than the INF. I always liked to do my shots in my bellyfat as it didnt hurt as bad as the thigh. Everyone is different and so you have to find the spot that works best for you. Listen,, when one is treating this kind of pain, its VERY unlikely that you will become dependent on pain meds. The studies show that only ppl who use it for recreation actually get addicted and start with THOSE behaviors from pain meds, unless you use more and you use it longer than needed. My doc told me that there is a difference between addiction and dependency. When you become dependent on medications, you need it to have a normal life, when you are addicted, then you start doing things that you wouldnt normally do in order to get more meds.. maybe he

was just giving me an excuse, I dont know..lol.. but because the INF gave me lots of painful autoimmune diseases, I AM dependent on pain meds just in order to get out of bed each day. 19 more shots to go,, you are on your way hon,, good luck and keep us updated as to how you are doing,, we DO care! jaxZ King <gavriella_rachel@...> wrote: I have found I have pain in the hip joint and shoulderjoint that coincides with side I give my self aninjection. yep, when I sleep funny, I do... Yesterday I went to my pain MD and her nurse practitioner did some cranial/sacral work, it was really really weird, but during the time she was working on me, I had severe pain in my left shoulder blade and my humerous bone too.. but once she finished, it was gone.. I have NO idea what she was doing or how it works,, it the pain left as soon as she was done and so far has not returned,Hillbilly Tim <knoxweb1@...> wrote: does anyone have pain in left arm between the shoulder and elbow and right shoulder blade on back. Hi I have shoulder pains just like he describes but it happens only when I sleep funny.. Personally I dont have alot of faith in Tims doc as they wont even do a biopsy to see IF he needs to do treatment.. just because his labs are in the normal range does not mean he shouldnt be treating his hep c.. its a total misnomer to believe that IF your labs are normal that you arent sick enough for treatment... I know many ppl who have had very very high labs for more than 30 years and have NO damage and then I never had a high viral load and my labs were always just one or two points above normal until right before I started treatment and I had early cirrhosis... I just want to point out that its very hard to tell how much damage you have or IF you should do treatment without a biopsy.. jaxlauramgunter <lauramgunter@...> wrote: hey, tim,I think that the pain you are talking about is not even related to hep c. When I feel really crummy, I have

pain in the liver area. It will radiate up into my right shoulder

sometimes and my back. When I feel well, I have no liver pain. The

worse I feel, the worse the pain.

Sleeping on my left side

helps. If I have any liver tenderness at all, I'll sleep making sure I

don't accidentally roll over in the middle of the night on my right side.

Sleeping on my right side will make not only the pain worse, but I feel real

flu-like, too.

The pain is identical to the pain

I had after I had my liver biopsy a few years ago.

About 5 years ago I started having severe muscle pain in my left arm and back . I found out that my hep had caused severe cervical spinal degeneration and the vertebrae were compressing on my nerves for that area of my body .

I thought the herpes virus can lie

dormant in your spine for years and activate decades later, causing

breakouts. I think it's the same way with shingles. I imagine Hep C

can, too.

I know a few people locally that

saw the doctor first because of severe back pain and then found out they had Hep

C.

Yeah , there are many things that can lay dormant for years without showing up . And it's usually something else that leads to the diagnosis.
