Hi Dawn;

Sorry I can't answer questions... just wondering if your son had/has high viral titers to anything?

Thanks,

Kim.

OLE/Virastop/Acyclovir Question

Hello, I am new to this group and have a few questions. My son is 3.11 y/o, weighs 44 lbs. I started him on OLE 4/16 at 30 drops. Within 4 days he was covered with a bright red rash on lower body, by next day it was from the neck down. The rash lasted 2 weeks, no itching, no regression that I recognized. I have increased the OLE to 40 drops for 10 days with no further rash. Since starting the OLE I have seen significant gains in language and social behavior. I am considering adding Virastop as soon as it arrives. How much Virastop should he take and should I continue at 40 drops of OLE or lower the dose? I will start the Acyclovir after the Virastop has had a chance to do its thing. Any suggestions/thoughts would be appreciated.Dawn

Thanks Dawn. Hope someone can answer your original post...

Re: OLE/Virastop/Acyclovir Question

Kim, Yes, he has high IgG titers for HHV6. I have not done the extensive viral panel through Immunosciences, but we did check 5 or 6 virus' and HHV6 was the only one elevated. He had roseola at 13 mos. Not sure why IgG titers would still be high from that long ago.Dawn

Hi Dawn,

I would not back down on the OLE if it were my kid. If anything, I

would make sure it was maxed when also using VS unless there is a

bad reaction. They work really well together, and if you are seeing

anything from the OLE, stick it out. If anything, the OLE and VS

combo that we are doing now is killing viruses and limitting

regression IMO. We are still seeing gains and very yellow urine

(viral)followed by very clear urine (detox) in cycles.

Dawn,

I would start the VS slowly and work up based on how your childis

reacting. It is best to dose VS 3 or 4 times a day, empty

stomach. Maybe start with 1/2 cap 3 or 4 times a day. Your son's

reaction or lack of it will guide you after that. Sounds like you've

seen great things so far. :-)

Thanks & Anita......, my son's urine & stool always have

the same sort of " Vitamin " smell. The urine is always the color of

the supplements he takes. I will post again when I've had a chance

to see how the VS is going. It is so exciting to see him progress

so much. Since starting Biomed in Jan. he has gained at least a

year in social behavior/language. All of his therapists are blown

away :)

We have very little positive responses from acyclovir. There is a document in

the files

section that explains the details, but acyclovir does not cross the blood brain

barrier is is

potentially more toxic than Valtrex. Valtrex is doing a much better job at

recovering kids

than acyclovir. I would stick with Valtrex and not Acyclovir.
