Earlier today I was reading old posts, don't remember where this particular one is, but I think I remember seeing one where Stan recommends 2 articles in the files sections about viruses and autism. Print them out and bring them to your doctor. Maybe he will read them and if nothing else figure it can't do any harm and help you.

After meeting with my DAN I realized she wasn't big on the anti-virals and

we didn't have time to go over it in our 2nd meeting. So I was gathering

information to try and convince her and in the meantime I met with Dr. Buie our

GI. He is very familiar with all of the DAN protocals and attends conferences

but is not a DAN (he recommended me to my DAN). I spoke with him about Stan and

his son and said I wanted to reduce the viral load before starting chelation.

He said that was a smart idea. I told him the mgs and the protocal. He said he

wouldn't put CJ on it forever but 750mg per day was okay for CJ and gave me a 3

month prescription with liver testing in one month. I told him the way he could

prescribe it for me was to say CJ had chronic cold sores in the throat causing

acid reflux. He was really great about it. I didn't think he would do it but

he agreed with everything I said. Just use the information in the files section

and talk about how you child would benefit from this treatment. Good

Hi allison! can i ask you if your son have been tested for viral

panel? if yes was he positive? or you are only considering starting

Valtrex anyway because you sospect he has viral issue eventough the

tests are negative? and my second quetions is how old is your son

and why did doc Buie gave this dose?

I did check his torso when I dressed him but sadly didn't pay attention to his

face. Bad Mommy!! Anyway can this be from Valtrex already or should I watch

because it may be something else. Should I have brought him home? If he breaks

out in a viral die off rash is he contagious (my titers when pregnant came back

a big fat ZERO across the board twice!!!  They retested thinking there was an

error the first time).  Can I get sick from it or can other kids? Should have

Thank you allison! eventhough my son didnt have a regression after

MMR, but still I do believe he is a viral Kid. We are realy

considering alot Valtrex; but we are so scared of regression! my son

improved alot with DMSA and ALA! bust his gastrointestinal problem

is still persistent! we should do endoscopy in near future!

so even my son is age 5 and very slim; so you are using sigle dose;

or how did you start; and what have you seen after the first doses?

how terrible is the regression? if any of you have had it!

He said he wouldn't put CJ on it forever but 750mg per day was okay for CJ and gave me a 3 month prescription with liver testing in one month. I told him the way he could prescribe it for me was to say CJ had chronic cold sores in the throat causing acid reflux. He was really great about it. I didn't think he would do it but he agreed with everything I said. Just use the information in the files section and talk about how you child would benefit from this treatment.
