My Dr. won't chelate until his "intra-cellular" mineral levels come up. The only problem is we have been increasing and increasing his supp. dosage and his levels have stayed exactly the same except the zinc which actually decreased slightly! My dr. is at a loss as to why he is not absorbing the minerals especially zinc. My neourologist at Stanford did a serum zinc check that showed high levels.(of course my Dan dr. said this just means it's floating in the blood and not getting into the cells) Does any of this sound correct or logical to you??? My son has had great improvements with Nystatin, he is very sensitive to yeast and is on the SCD. He also has major food allergies and had severe ezcema for nearly three years that is now 99% GONE after only one week off the offending foods. He takes fish oil--not CLO per his Dan Dr. along with pro-biotics. He also takes the MB12 nose spray. We recently switched his vit/min from Brainchild to Kirkman super NU thera with mineral powder to see if he would absorb them any better. Just yesterday I started him on Valtrex. He is getting 250mg twice a day working up to 1000mg a day for about a six week trial. Yesterday and today he has been a little tired, but nothing else so far. I am very concerned because my Dr. did not say anything at all about yeast. I did have a Nystatin refill so I went ahead and picked it up. Do you think I should put him on it right away or wait and see if yeast symptoms show up. OK- I know this is a huge rambling post, but what does OLE do? How do you know if your child is really a candidate for Valtrex? The only thing unusual with his Immunoscience lab was the Varicella titer was 600+ (normal is 100 or less I think) Does that mean anything? Guest guest
Hi , A common element to autism is cellular issues, so I'm not terribly suprised. One of the concepts of HBOT is to help push energy into the cells. Supplements like l-carnitine and CoQ10 are said to help as well. I personally believe one of the causes of cellular problems is smoldering viruses. The cells become less permiable because of the presense of viruses. My son had terrible crebs cycle markers prior to antivirals which never looked better afterwards. I observe the same thing about eczema. Lessen fungus and remove the offending foods and it's gone. I would absolutely get my child back on antifungals, but I would be pushing for Diflucan, Amphotericin B, or Nizoral... we see very little positive things from Nystatin. Many doctors and parents report the same thing, plus it does not address the testosterone issue like the other antifungals I mentioned. This is really important. I would switch antifungals asap. OLE you'll learn about in the group. People have probably answered already about the natural antiviral Olive Leaf Extract. We have a shorter track record with it here, but we are seeing some great things... and just like Valtrex and other antiviral therapies we are seeing yeast flare ups with it, so either way get on a good antifungal. As you may know already, my son recovered with Valtrex and Diflucan, so I'm a big fan of both. I also have good experience with Amphotericin B and Nizoral very consistently. And yes, that varicella marker was a good reason to try Valtrex although my son didn't show any markers at all prior to therapy. - Stan Hi, > > I am new to this group and would like to run a few things by everyone for some feedback.
