I've finally something for cardio that I truly enjoy.......a recumbent bike. I

have a bad knee and bad back. I started out on a treadmill (torture, but did it

anyway). I tried the elliptical and didn't like

that either. (My husband loves the elliptical.) Find something that you like

and you'll stay with it. BTW, I'm up to 18 miles every other day and on my

lifting days, I ride for 10. I like the fact that I

can change the resistance or program the bike for hills. Someday, I'll make the

last choice from the menu: triathlete.

When I first started BFL, I looked forward to the bike cause I'd be so sore

after the weights ... I knew I wouldn't be aching from the cardio .... worn

out , sweaty and aching right after the " 10 " , but not the lingering soreness

of the weights .... Well NOW, since I've steadily increased the intensity in

my levels, I'm come to dread that d*mn bike!! But it's become a practice in

aggressiveness ... I get on and attack that thing!! LOL! The weights are

now fun to do as I've grown stronger ... each time is a challenge to see if

I've gotten stronger since the last time. Funny how " mental " physical stuff

can be ...
