Guest guest
Hi, I've lurked on this board for awhile. I have an 8yo son we've been treating with biomed and therapeutic interventions for 5 years. We've not done Valtrex yet, its on " the list " ! I'm preparing for an upcoming Dr. appt. I'm wondering about the need for anti-bacterials of some kind... many on DAN protocols have found that if you treat yeast aggressively, often bacterial counts go way up; some Drs. RX both Diflucan and Flagyl together now, for instance. Wondering... if you give an Anti-fungal RX with Valtrex, does bacteria get out of control? Anyone have any experience here? Do some kids need to be on 3 drugs at once (Valtrex, and Rx antifungal, and Rx anti-bacterial)? My son is on SCD with good results (2.5 years now) in bacterial counts, though he did have a history of bacterial issues prior. Thank you. -- Sue
