Guest guest
Hello everyone: After a long time and knowing (intuition only) that our son is very viral...we decided to take the viral protocol plunge. While we see Dr. Usman next month for valtrex/diflucan scripts.....we decided to start with virastop/OLE and see what happens. Our son is already on LDN, full dose since Labor Day. Well, I have never been so upset in a very long time. I started with one virastop saturday, one virastop sunday...they were divided 2x throughout the day. I plan on keeping with one capsule for a week, then increase to 2 capsules a week, and so forth. Our son was the worst wreck ever. Behaviorly, its as if we lost the last 4 months of chelation. He is visual stimming ALL THE TIME. He always has something in his hand that he is pressing up against his eyes. He became very obsessive, very OCD. He is extremely spacey and is no longer answering questions. He is very withdrawn. There is no mistaking this sudden change in our son. When I read that we can expect an increase in autistic symptoms when starting a viral protocol....I never expected this. It was very very hard to see. : I read your story with your viral protocol....and I believe you used OLE instead of virastop? Is this correct? And others: What can I read into the fact that our son immediately became worse with just one virastop a day? IS this a good sign...meaning the healing regression? Should I be adding in the OLE right from the start, or continue with virastop? A big part of me wants to add in the OLE this weekend. Any thoughts? Any words of encouragement? Our son is 6 years old, and the viral treatment is our last shot/hope for recovery. He is SO VERY far behind his peers, socially, and in all areas. I was really hoping that this was our answer. Please? Thanks......Kim
Guest guest
Kim, I am sorry to hear that you are off to such a rough start. It seems to me that there could be two things going on: It may be that the Virastop is hitting something hard already OR it may be that he doesn't tolerate the Virstop. I don't know exactly how you determine what is what but, given the severity of his reaction, I would hold off on adding the OLE and I would tread gently with the VS. We started both at the same time (stupid, I know) but my son tolerated them well (until he decided to stop eating :-(). How is the yeast? Guest guest
Kim, did the same thing as your son in losing about 4 months of progress while on OLE. We rode it out. Then we started seeing gains in other areas (language, social). It was scary, and weird. Then it all came back. I think a lot of people here can relate. We now have him on both Virastop and OLE, with less of an impact than the first round. It sounds to me like you are seeing healing regression combined with yeast (spaciness). If you are not using any antifungals, now would be a good time to start. To me the fact that you are seeing this may not be a bad thing going by what we saw. His body is fighting something or moving metals. Any time we ever saw regression, it was always followed by gains. I sometimes tell people that when we would do things and not see any regression is when I worried that nothing was happening. If it were me, knowing what I know now, I would add the OLE with the Virastop. Start slow and work your way up. This is what we did. As our child started returning to normal, we would up dosage again and he would go back into the regression. Healing regression was not a fun thing for us , especially since we had two kids going through it. It really freaked us out! > > Hello everyone: After a long time and knowing (intuition only) that > our son is very viral...we decided to take the viral protocol > plunge. Guest guest
one other thing... Sorry typing faster than I think. I did not mean to add the OLE right away, but to wait until he starts tolerating the Virastop first and then gradually add it and work your way up. Baby steps. It sounds like your child is extremely viral. > > > > Hello everyone: After a long time and knowing (intuition only) > that > > our son is very viral...we decided to take the viral protocol > > plunge. Guest guest
Thanks : I have OLE at home right now...and adding it in would be no problem. We are not on any antifungal...but use naturals. Although, naturals/Rx's havent touched our son's yeast much...but I have no problem asking for diflucan. Dr. Usman's office was very generous with us in the past giving us a long term script for diflucan. Yes, you are right...it is SO scary. Its like watching a different child overnight. It helps to know that there is an " end to the regression " and I am SO hoping that we see the return to normal also. By the way...I just sent your wife a message as she replied to yet another problem we are having...so I am talking to you both at the same time. You will be sick of me. Apparently, our son's school called because he has a venemnous spider bite...and they want us to bring him in to give antibiotics. Great, more toxins in our son that he cant excrete. Does it ever end? Dont answer! My husband is at home and will bring him in....and I already told him to go for the shot instead of oral antibiotics. He hates this stuff. Finally, I also believe that regression can be a good thing. It usually means that there is a problem to begin with...and the supp/medication is addressing it. I just didnt know it would happen this quickly! Man, this was right away. Take care....God Bless! Guest guest
Be thankful that your child is responding quickly, just keep an eye on him. Like I said, we saw EXACTLY the same thing. Keep us up on the progress. It will help others going through this. That sucks about the spider bite! > > > > > > Hello everyone: After a long time and knowing (intuition only) > > that > > > our son is very viral...we decided to take the viral protocol > > > plunge. Guest guest
Hi Kim; Just read your post about your son. I can empathize with you about hoping viral treatments will be the answer for his progress. My daughter too is a tough nut. We're trying everything and she doesn't respond well to anything. Trying to get our DAN onboard for a valtrex trial but will probably pursue the OLE/virastop route like you did. Don't give up hope! Responses to your post seem encouraging. Best of luck to you and keep us posted on his progress. Another Kim :-) help please, just started virastop - ? Hello everyone: After a long time and knowing (intuition only) that our son is very viral...we decided to take the viral protocol plunge. While we see Dr. Usman next month for valtrex/diflucan scripts.....we decided to start with virastop/OLE and see what happens.

Guest guest
Kim, Boy, your son's having a rough time of it. But, the good news is that the antivirals seem to be very important to him. My opinion would be to add in the OLE before you escalate the VS. SLOWLY. And then continue to boost first VS then OLE in the step pattern, based on how your son is doing. I am getting the impression from my experience here with my son that although VS on its own might be enough for people with fairly strong balanced immune systems, other antivirals will be necessary for those who don't have that. Same goes for Lauricidin. I see those two as preparing the viruses for the immune system to go in for the kill; however, ASD kids might need the help of something like OLE to complete that kill efficiently. Does that make sense? Hang in there. :-) Anita > > And others: What can I read into the fact that our son immediately > became worse with just one virastop a day? Guest guest
, You mentioned in this message, "If you are not using any anti-fungals, now would be a good time to start" in regards to spaciness. I am not doing the Valtrex, but using something else to pull the metals out and was wondering if the anti fungal would be good for silliness as well and which one you would recommend that is not over the counter. My son is having a problem with silliness and spaciness. I plan on doing the anti-viral thing at some point, just watching for now. Guest guest
It sounds like a yeast issue. I don't recommend any in particular, I leave the yeast fighting up to my wife, but I know we do use the following, and rotate them. Some kids will do well with these, others may need something else. Yeast Aid Uva Ursi (works great, but will tax liver if extended use) Grapefruit Seed Extract Oil of Oregano > > > > > > > > > > Hello everyone: After a long time and knowing (intuition > only) > > > > that > > > > > our son is very viral...we decided to take the viral protocol > > > > > plunge. Guest guest
Just like to add to what already said in addition to antifungal make sure you also provide plenty of probiotics to keep the gut in check. (This is the good guy gut bacteria) Yeast is tricky and can be a tug of war until its udder control. Remember anytime you are using antifungal you are also taking away the friendly gut bacteria that needs to present in a healthy environment.
