Guest guest
, Lead gets in the way of mercury. Mercury is less soluble so it does not bond to the chelating agent as well. DMSA is an excellent lead chelator, but a weak mercury chelator. You will most likely need to add a better mercury chelator later in the process like ALA. Usually you do not see mercury move at all if their is lead in the way. When lead starts to come down, most likely, you will see something else go up, and so on. Mercury is typically one of the last things to come out on many kids, and usually follows nickel from what I have been told by many other parents going through this. Guest guest
Rena, Andy Cutler, who has access to 1000s of people who have chelated says that mercury will go up and down as you chelate and that there is no order of metals pulled. Try not to get too caught up in test results. The fact that you're pulling something is good. What your tests say you're pulling will be a matter of when you choose to test: random, in other words. Lead will take at least a couple years. You're going to be doing this for a long time. My son's last test showed high mercury pulls with very little lead, yet he's lead toxic. It certainly doesn't make me think all his lead is gone. Although I wish that. Try to focus more on how your child is doing. Seeing what is coming out can give us *some* information. What's more important though is how our child is doing. Anita > > Stan and anyone else that might help, I am confused. Guest guest
Rich ill agree with many things has said and wanted to add a few additional comments. Chelation all together is a process and takes some time and commitment to get the job done. .. This junk not only is in the tissues but also in the bones and organs. Btw the brain is also a major organ. Excuse my French but Hg is a ba$tard and likes to hide and don't like to come out that easy. However as had said if you choose a mercury specific chelator and commit to chelation for some time you will start to mobilize it and move it out. Try not to get caught up in all the " tests" we actually stopped chelation over 3 years ago because of a " test" and a "doctor" said we were finished (LONG story). In short we weren't finished and got burnt by the false negatives in testing. That was 3 years ago and in the past year we have since returned gaining progress with every round. Moral to story, what I had learned the most was to read my son in how he was responding to a particular intervention. I know we all like to see this on tests but there is way to many false negatives when it comes to testing especially when it comes to Hg. Yes rumor has it amongst parents that there is a specific order of heavy metal removal but again that's not a science yet cause I have heard reports of metals coming out in many different orders .. I wanted to mention that we too had high lead with little levels in mercury oupn1st test and no or little Hg levels in the 2nd 3rd test. But have to mention one year later we still see gains with every round, or chelation. So I do not rely only on testing. After coming back on board to chelation I have applied Andy Cuttler counting rules and all of this has made more sense all together. See links. http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/HOW_TO_hair_test.html autism/?yguid=145220130 http://www.noamalgam.com/hairtestbook.html http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/ That is why we chose DMSA and have included ALA and have seen nice improvement with pretty much every round. Again I strongly believe that chelation is a process and the slow and steady approach is the most effective. We are doing the Andy Cuttler low dose / frequent dose protocol. With no problems whatsoever. Id like to reinforce that if your child was high in lead and you suspect mercury as well, than the DMSA/ALA combo would be a perfect choice of chelator. And rem: proper chelation takes time if you commit you will get the job done. To be honest with you the 3-4 or 3-7 or 3 11-day protocol you will see much better progress than the every other day protocol, makes more sense in the properties of chelation and puts less stress on the body. I would challenge anyone to try least 5 rounds of this method before deciding to any other protocol. It is very effective limits redistribution of heavy metals back in the body and again less stressful on the kiddo. Kenny V Ps hey Anita why did it take me so long to say pretty much the same thing? lol… When I finally fished typing (over 55 min) your post was already written. Guest guest
I agree with so much of what you have said. I stopped chelating about three years ago on DMSA and ALA with my grandson.-also used the Cutler method-but after 4-5 rounds stopped because it affected his intestional track and behavior so badly. At the time his doctor never gave diflucan until after the rounds of chelation were done. but I see here that ya'll often use diflucan during chelation, which makes sense to me. Given that I might have gone longer. But now am prepared to do more chelation---did do 8 months of TD/DMPSlast year-and again if you are looking at the tests only-never saw a thing----lots of toxins excreted after the previous DMSA altho have yet to see mercury anywhere. Plan to go back to DMSA this summer. Maurinekenny V <KEN@...> wrote: Rich ill agree with many things has said and wanted to add a few additional comments. He has only chelated on the every other day dmsa protocol> for about 11/2 months and then 2 rounds of 3/11 protocol. He was on Valtrex> for about 50 days before the 2nd challenge test. Could he have already> pulled all the mercury in such a short timeI don't think so. It takes months, years....> and could the Valtrex have> helped him do it so quickly, or is the Mercury hiding? yes, most probably in his brain where DMSA cannot go.Or any other> explanations? I'm open to explanations and suggestions! You could try ALA on a 3 hrs protocol. ALA crosses the blood brain barrier. Within a few weeks of adding ALA, my son made tremendous progress. Guest guest
We are about to start adding ALA after 9 months if chelation. Many doctors caution about using it too soon because if the body is extremely toxic, there is always that chance of relocating metals into the brain. The jury is still out on this one. > > thanks natalie. i figured wed try ala at some point but wanted to try to get > more out of his body before trying something that crosses bbb. well see, ive > heard of people using ala from the start. thanks again. Guest guest
Hi scott; my son is doind chelation almost 1year; he started with DMSA oral; since that time there wasnt Transdermal one available; and we found that adding the last 3months with ALA hight doses realy alot of gains; then doing DMSA alone; so I do believe that ALA has alot of efficacy that is not appreciated from many parents; because of yeast and al these staff; anyway with a good anti yeast program this is the treatment that realy made a difference for us! I found recent pubblished article on ALA and it is potency as an antioxidant in rats that has been injected with toxic substance; there was less damage with the ones wich were well protected with ALA hight doses comparing to the ones which were not protected. if you interested i can post the article! nur > > > > thanks natalie. i figured wed try ala at some point but wanted to > try to get > > more out of his body before trying something that crosses bbb. well > see, ive > > heard of people using ala from the start. thanks again. >

Guest guest
Oh, No need to convince me... I am all about ALA. I cannot wait to start using it. We are going to use the Silsby transdermal form to see if it works well. It may cut back a little on yeast. We may be starting as early as next week. I know what you are saying though. What many parents do not understand is that yeast is created when your body detoxes. THAT IS A GOOD THING! It sucks to deal with it, but like healing regression, it is a necessary evil. thanks for the post, > > > > We are about to start adding ALA after 9 months if chelation. > Many > > doctors caution about using it too soon because if the body is > > extremely toxic, there is always that chance of relocating metals > into > > the brain.
