Guest guest
, We saw this early on with my son. He was FULL of pathogenic bacteria including Klebsiella, Citrobacter, and more. Rotating natural yeast/bacteria killers and giving high potency probiotics (including Sacch. Boulardii) might keep things going after the effects of the antibiotics wear off. Lori From: "cindyroyster" <cindyroyster@...>Subject: strep and antibioticsI thought someone on this list could give me a little insight into what has gone on with my son. He got really sick several weekends ago and we ended up in Urgent Care. To make a long story short, he ended up on oral Amoxicillin. He has not had antibiotics since diagnosis...have done everything to prevent it. Anyway, it was inevitable. We have had a rough time this winter but after starting the Amoxicillin he came back to baseline...even better. Speech improved, especially word usage (was doing alot of word switching prior and real difficulty getting thoughts out), everything across the board improved. We have seen a little drop off of this but still doing o.k. But some days while on the Amoxicillin I really had to convince myself that he still had issues because he was so NT. I do have to add that he is pretty close to recovery and we are mainly dealing with language issues but those were so much better I couldn't believe it. Any thoughts or input on the cause of this progression while on Amoxicillin. My DAN doc said that he treats one child who does amazing while on Amoxicillin and when he is off doesn't do as well. I'm not sure of the cause with this boy either...he didn't elaborate. Again, any input is appreciated.

Guest guest
do you know what caused the bacteria? My kids showed antibodies to clostridia and Epstein Barr? How could this be? I cannot figure out where they could have been exposed? My son took flagyl for the clostridia and his yeast went up so we put my daughter on Allicin. . THe Garlic/cinnamon. THis helped ourt her stomach aches but she is in a big regression right now and we cannot figure out why. We took her off some amino acids could Allicin have caused a regression? Does anyone know about this? I quit giving her the MB12 due to trying to figure out what was going on with her it tends to make her hyperactive and she gets nasal stuffiness. She has gone from highly acitive to low energy etc. ANy thoughts woud be appreciated. tracy strep and antibiotics > > I thought someone on this list could give me a little insight into > what has gone on with my son. Guest guest
I have a very interesting observation. Many kids show certain bacterias at a certain age and in a certain pattern. My son has shown these bacteria and a friend of mine who also has an autistic son who is 2 yrs younger than mine showed the same bacteria at the same age.It is as if the dna/rna is scripted .What caught my eye is that Lori stated her child showed clostridia and my son is now showing clostridia. He is turning 11 yrs old in a few weeks..At what age Lori did your son show clostridia?Any thoughts anyone? Guest guest
, Our worst struggle with clostridia was from 2.5 - 4 years of age. Culturelle knocked it out initially but it came back after awhile and became resistant. Doing Sacharomyces Boulardii eventually knocked it out (I only did one bottle) and it has not come back since. I think that when we aggressively treat yeast (especially with prescription antifungals) the clostridia often moves in. That is why I like using the naturals, because they are also anti-bacterial and I think do a better job at preventing the Clostridia take-over (but now always).. I think more than age as being a factor, gut health, immune system functioning, and whether or not aggressive yeast treatment is being given - are issues that affect clostridia. Aggressive probiotic usage (Lactobacillus Rhamnosus specifically) is also a great preventive. Hope this helps.
