Guest guest
hi we are chelating our almost 5yr old son since june 05 now.. last month(Mar 06) we changed with protocol to oral dmps and oral dmsa from td dmps.. Last week i started him on OLE and Virastop . He also takes Candidase and is on diflucan.. Apr 8-10th: OLE : 1/4th cap & Virastop : 1/4th cap , 1 candidase , 1/4th tsp diflucan Apr 11-13th:Morn:OLE : 1/4th cap & Virastop : 1 cap , 1 candidase , 1/4th tsp diflucan Tues: OLE : 1/4th cap & Virastop : 1 cap , 1 candidase I also started HBOT alongwith this after talking to Dr Jac. Maccandless and someone from HBOT at the conference.. This is what i have been seeing nothing major very stubborn and head banging increased if we say "NO" for anything. No patience.. little hyper after starting HBOT.. My question is (1) should i increase Virastop by 1 cap two times a day ? 1 in the morn & 1 in the afternoon (2) how many caps of virastop i can goto? in divided doses (3) how much of OLE i can give to a 40 lbs.. he is now on 250 mg per day in divided doses,. can i increase to 500 mg.. (4) how many weeks should i continue this? (5) i also plan to start LDN (again spoke with Dr Jac Maccandless), when should i start (6) will be stopping HBOT.. we did 8 dives uptill now.. thanks manisha Stan Kurtz <kurtzstan@...> wrote: I've been thinking about this a lot. I woke up this morning thinking that the right way might be starting with Valtrex and adding OLE and Virastop after. I'm thinking that modulating adenosine might be an important way to start.I think people are wanting to start OLE and Virastop first for a couple of reasons... cost, and fear.I think we talk so directly and openly about the "healing regression"... even obsess over it and I think from an outsiders perspective it scares people a bit. Ultimately, I do not believe there is any way to avoid it except possibly a short round of low dose steroids which some doctors use. Maybe Amy's RNA Nerve Calm might help but there has been talk about toxicity related to the RNA products at the conference. I'm a bit concerned about this. Anyway, I need another couple of days to think about it and then I'll put up a couple of options that include OLE and Virastop (using the OLE model from the Shoemakers) and let people pick from them and report back. This is the best way to learn what is working the best. If someone reports in "I used option "B" and that worked (x) times" we can start recording that data and learning. In the meantime, keep reporting in with any antiviral successes or challenges so we can continue to put the pieces together.Lastly, if you have stories of better metals exretion during Valtrex, please scan your test results and send them to me. I'll start making a webpage of posts with these scans (last name ommited of course).- Stan>> We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do the two day, high dose Vitamin A protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference. The day after we are done with the Vitamin A we are going to add in OLE and then the Virastop. Any suggestion on dosing and timing of the Virastop would be appreciated (I'm going to follow Shoemaker's protocol for the OLE dosing). I was not certain if they each performed similiar functions, but i keep reading that folks do them in conjuction with one another. Should we start them together, would they be more synergestic that way. Thoughts? We are going to trial this for about a month or two, look at results and then possibly move over to Valtrex.>Manisha Lad Messenger with Voice. PC-to-Phone calls for ridiculously low rates. Guest guest
Just to be sure I understand what you are saying, you saw the headbanging increase when you started HBOT? I just want to be clear because we suspect HBOT during the healing-regression stage may not be a good idea. Guest guest
no head banging increased more after OLE & Virastop not after HBOT... head banging decreases as we increase diflucan.. i think it is bacteria overgrowth... would appreciate if you could answer my questions.. Guest guest
Touchy touchy Ok your questions. I am not the senior expert on OLE or Virastop in this group right now. We are quite new at this. I'll let others tell you what they have done with their kids (I haven't used them personally). I'm going to do more research on dosing this weekend and publish something in the next week. In the meantime, people like and others who have personal experience with OLE might chime in and help. How long you should continue is a bit subjective right now. I kept my son on antiviral therapy for as long as the wave of gains lasted, which was 9 months. Then, I took him off and retested with an OATS test. By the time I got the results back he was already progressing along as if to tell me that he doesn't need antiviral therapy any more. That was over a year ago and he's continuing to do wonderfully. - Stan > > > > > > We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do the two day, high dose Vitamin > A > > protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference. Guest guest
If headbanging decreases with the increased diflucan, you might be looking at yeast, not bacterial, overgrowth. A parent on another list has reported terrible headaches when she gets yeast. She uses GSE for this purpose. Guest guest
Questions 1,2,3. The answer is, there really is no good answer. I am not a doctor, but I can tell you what we did and how we came to this decision. We started slow and maxed out at just over 600mg a day of OLE (drops) for an almost 50 lb 3 1/2 yo. We chose this for no other reason other that it was 1/3 the max adult dose (for a 150 lb. adult) on the bottle. It was very effective when used this way for us. As far as headbanging, I think what your child could be experiencing is the healing regression that we saw along with the Valtrex kids. Our son's was horrible, and yes, at first it will freak you out and you may become scared and quit. He was miserable and temporarily lost months of gains. I think that the regression will rear its ugly head in a variety of different ways. It was very different in my son than in my daughter. Also make sure that you combat yeast with whatever you have found effective for your child. We use a number of things, and switch them around, although be careful of what you use as some of the yeast fighters out there actually contain OLE (like Yeast Aid). If you use them be aware that you are giving more OLE than what you decide on. I would give the OLE a chance to do its thing. We stopped chelating for a month because our son and daughter were so sick. We wanted to eliminate other things that could interfere or make him more miserable. Viral die off is really not fun to go through. It was the gains that kept pushing us forward until day 34 and then it was gone as quickly as it came, just how Stan described it in his video on day 21 for his son. We continued until we stopped seeing gains. It may take you awhile to see your first ones in your child if at all. The fact that you are seeing some regressive behaviors may be telling us that it may be your son's way of responding. You seem to be doing so many other things, it is hard to say. I am with Stan on the HBOT. I don't know if I would do them at the same time. HBOT in itself is very effective at killing viruses. I would do your child a favor and maybe pick that up afterwards. I would be afraid that it would be too hard on my little guy. I hope this helps. > > > > > > > > We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do the two day, high dose > Vitamin > > A > > > protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference. Guest guest
thought you might find this interesting-hasn't to do with anti-virals-but a friend of mine just came back with her son from Bradstreet and he finds it more effective to do chelation and HBOT at the same time---but then again he wasn't talking about anti-viralsscottshoe11 <shoemaker@...> wrote: Questions 1,2,3. Guest guest
Stan & thank you very very much. I also noted one more thing, after starting OLE & Virastop.. he does his BM twice a day.. playdoh & yeasty... well i am keeping a note and will keep you guys posted.. Tomorrow will be our last HBOT session... so lets see next week.. thank again for all your time' thanks manishascottshoe11 <shoemaker@...> wrote: Questions 1,2,3. Guest guest
I could see that helping and I'm sure that Bradstreets office has seen some evidence of it in order to do it... but antiviral therapy is another animal.... but this is just my view... my hunch at this point. If you want to try HBOT on Valtrex you always could and then report back. Until I see reports that people find it beneficial I won't suggest it since we've seen some concerning report. - Stan > > > > > > > > > > We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do the two > day, high dose > > Vitamin > > > A > > > > protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference. Guest guest
That could be a good thing assuming you are on an antifungal. If not, you're probably kicking up fungus. I would get on an antifungal like diflucan asap. - Stan > > > > > > > > > > We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do the two > day, high dose > > Vitamin > > > A > > > > protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference. Guest guest
I would not think twice about chelating and doing HBOT at the same time. With chelation, there is no healing regression. There may be some regression during cycles, but it was nothing like the antiviral healing regression that we saw. Since HBOT also attacks viruses (and chelation does not) I would be wary. There is a lot going on in the gut already. The jury is still out on this one I think... I agree with Stan , but I have never done HBOT and could be way off. I am only going on what I know about it. > > > > > > > > > > We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do the two > day, high dose > > Vitamin > > > A > > > > protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference.
