Guest guest
Hi Lorina, Don't get hung up on the diagnosis, since it really means very little. The bottom line is your child needs some help and you're giving it to him. He's pretty young and is improving quickly which is a good sign... and yes, changes can happen that quickly. My son had significant gains from diet and that's one of the reasons I am a strong advocate for diet. Keep plugging away and it's possible that by the time you get over the shock of the diagnosis that he'll be long on his way to being greatly improved... maybe even fully recovered. The place I would start is probably MB12 Nasal Spray (1250mcg of methylcobalamin, one spray per day). I would also trade the gummy bear vitamins for Liquid Super Nuthera with P5P from Kirkman Laboratories (since your diet is now in place). That's the first two changes that I would make. I would also make sure your DAN! orders and OATs test which is a wonderful metabolic and gut pathogen test. I'm glad to see you jumped in as quickly as you did and that you are seeing progress so quickly. I say this all the time, but the most significant reason for a failure in the diet is the parents not having the will to do it... you are an example of a parent who quickly learned what to do and jumped in with both feet and you have been rewarded with immediate developmental gains. Keep up the great work. Who will your DAN! doctor be? - Stan > > Hi Stan & Everyone! > > My name is Lorina and I am brand new to this group..well most > groups as My son was just diagnosed with Autism by his doctor 2 > weeks ago.(Not a specialist yet) > > Since this time, I have placed him on the GF/CF Diet then came > across Stan's Caveman Diet which I have done since Last Weds. > > I have seen HUGE changes in my son, from No speech to 7 repeat words > I say to him. Guest guest
Hello Stan! Thank you for the response. I feel I can ONLY do what is working for most people...and keep trying.... and Know I have and will give him all the best that is out there so he will come back to us(he is right there within grasp) We are going to see Hartha Gbedawo here in Seattle. I am going to get on Dr. Green's (In Oregon City) Waiting List which is about 9 months out but I have heard his Partner Contreras is quicker to get into and is very good as well. I have also heard that Dr. Ranheim is a 2nd Choice up in Everett (here in Washington) for a Dan!Doctor near myself. When we had the Phone Consultation with Hartha Gbedawo I asked her about Valtrex and she did mention they do that there...But first what needs to be done is to clear up Zander's gut before starting. (Is this correct?) She mentioned something about sending me home with some Kits to send back.....I know she is New to the Dan! Doctor ways...But tells me she is willing to learn or listen to anything I bring to the table. Do you know of anyone in my area you would recommend? I am in Tacoma, Washington Like, I said I am happy with the small but HUGE improvements I have seen in my son with just the Diet. And tonight I will be ordering the Vitiams you suggested. I don't know how I came across your name or website...but however it happen...I am blessed! Thank you for helping me on my journey to Recovery for Zander! Guest guest
Yes, I totally agree with clearing up the gut first... and the doc does do Valtrex, so that's not a bad start. I would make sure that one of the tests is an OATs Urine test and an IGG Food Allergy by Blood. It sounds like the doctor is open minded, and that is often half the battle. Being on Dr. Green's waiting list is always a good idea in case things don't work out with your present DAN! Dr. Green is quite capible and parent friendly. I think you have a nice start. I would also try Nasal MB12 Nasal Spray (1250mcg one time per day) without folinic to start. Also, I would start to ask your doctor about getting on Diflucan or Amphotericin B asap. They can do amazing things all by themselves. Also I would add Epsom Salt baths every night (great for magnesium), some taurine orally (important for sulfation and fighting off viruses), and buy some L-Lycine (for viruses) and start giving small amounts of that (maybe a 100mg per day), also 1000mg of Emergen C (whole foods). You can mix that with a little pear juice and water or crystal light (worst case). Let your doctor know and keep us posted. - Stan > > > > > > Hi Stan & Everyone! > > > > > > My name is Lorina and I am brand new to this group..well > most > > > groups as My son was just diagnosed with Autism by his doctor 2 > > > weeks ago.(Not a specialist yet) > > > > > > Since this time, I have placed him on the GF/CF Diet then came > > > across Stan's Caveman Diet which I have done since Last Weds. > > > > > > I have seen HUGE changes in my son, from No speech to 7 repeat > words > > > I say to him. Questions: Where do I purchase the MB12 Nasal Spray (1250Mcg) w/out Folinic? How much Taurine Orally & L-Lycine Should I be given, and do I do this each day? Guest guest
I buy mine from Coastal Compounding www.coastalcompounding.com I would start low with L-Lycine since we are just strating this... I would start at 100mg up to three times a day. (the adult dosage on the web seems to be 1000mg three times a day during a viral breakout). Taurine, I haven't personally used. (I've only heard really good things about it) so I can't tell you what is a good dosage for kids. Let's see what others suggest. - Stan > > > > > > > > > > Hi Stan & Everyone! > > > > > > > > > > My name is Lorina and I am brand new to this group..well > > > most > > > > > groups as My son was just diagnosed with Autism by his > doctor 2 > > > > > weeks ago.(Not a specialist yet) > > > > > > > > > > Since this time, I have placed him on the GF/CF Diet then > came > > > > > across Stan's Caveman Diet which I have done since Last > Weds. > > > > > > > > > > I have seen HUGE changes in my son, from No speech to 7 > repeat > > > words > > > > > I say to him.
