Guest guest
, I was using VS, OLE, and Lauricidin. I had to cut out the OLE because of smooth muscle issues. Each of these antivirals works a bit differently, although I must admit I don't understand how OLE works and I wish someone would explain it to me. I'm not a big fan of starting ANY two things at the same time as a general rule. Although IMO the VS and OLE work together synergistically, I would start the VS first and then add OLE after a few days, just to be sure that you're not having any problems. It would be unusual for a kid to have a problem, but my son was one of those rare kids to not do well with OLE. Just a thought, but you may even want to start the VS before you try the high dose A protocol. I've read a couple posts that make me think that a bit of VS might help the Vit A work a bit better on the measles virus. Best wishes, Anita > > We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do the two day, high dose Vitamin A protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference. The day after we are done with the Vitamin A we are going to add in OLE and then the Virastop. Any suggestion on dosing and timing of the Virastop would be appreciated (I'm going to follow Shoemaker's protocol for the OLE dosing). I was not certain if they each performed similiar functions, but i keep reading that folks do them in conjuction with one another. Should we start them together, would they be more synergestic that way. Thoughts? We are going to trial this for about a month or two, look at results and then possibly move over to Valtrex. >

Guest guest
We had lots of sideways glance issues that were not touched by the high dose vitamin A protocol (2 days at 400,000 IU) that were nearly eliminated with OLE and Virastop. Of course I am sure that now that I have said that they will be back this afternoon, but thought I would let you know. Guest guest
Hi Anne, Stan & everyone! My son side glances a lot too. We never got rid of it with the high dose vitamin A protocol as well. Just curious, what is the dosage you use for the OLE & Virastop? Guest guest
DeFelice's website, www.enzymestuff.com, discusses the Virstop protocol in some depth. I would suggest you read it, since I think I may have gone too hard too fast. She suggests a stair step approach staring with one cap, then adding another when you have gauged the effects, etc. And, of course, I started the OLE and Virstop at the same time, so I don't know what did what. Apparently I am really not someone to look to for guidance on this stuff! But, since you asked, we used (and continue to use) the OLE from Houston Nutraceuticals. No particular reason. Shoemaker used the store brand liquid from his local HFS (I think it was Wild Oats or Henry's, but don't quote me). He used 1/3 of the adult dose, since that seems to correlates to his son's weight. I used 1000 mgs/day in three divided doses (though this may be less than it seems, as the HNI stuff seems to have a bit lower standardized extract levels than others). We now have my little guy (4.2) on 1500 mgs/day in divided doses. Yeast was very, very, significant for us as we did this, but I am pretty adept at handling it these days so it wasn't the end of the world. Since I don't know what was what, I still wonder where the sideways glance comes from. Especially as the only other thing that ever made any difference in that respect was Uva Ursi, which I am hesitant to use on a regular basis. Could this have had a bacterial origin and not a viral one? Sorry for the lack of really useful information despite the length of this post. Guest guest
I've been thinking about this a lot. I woke up this morning thinking that the right way might be starting with Valtrex and adding OLE and Virastop after. I'm thinking that modulating adenosine might be an important way to start. I think people are wanting to start OLE and Virastop first for a couple of reasons... cost, and fear. I think we talk so directly and openly about the " healing regression " ... even obsess over it and I think from an outsiders perspective it scares people a bit. Ultimately, I do not believe there is any way to avoid it except possibly a short round of low dose steroids which some doctors use. Maybe Amy's RNA Nerve Calm might help but there has been talk about toxicity related to the RNA products at the conference. I'm a bit concerned about this. Anyway, I need another couple of days to think about it and then I'll put up a couple of options that include OLE and Virastop (using the OLE model from the Shoemakers) and let people pick from them and report back. This is the best way to learn what is working the best. If someone reports in " I used option " B " and that worked (x) times " we can start recording that data and learning. In the meantime, keep reporting in with any antiviral successes or challenges so we can continue to put the pieces together. Lastly, if you have stories of better metals exretion during Valtrex, please scan your test results and send them to me. I'll start making a webpage of posts with these scans (last name ommited of course). - Stan > > We just started LDN and in two weeks are going to do the two day, high dose Vitamin A protocol for Measles mentioned in the DAN conference. Guest guest
Stan, Thanks for the kind words. I am not being hard on myself, just not pretending to understand what the heck is really going on. We are seeing very good gains, and I am thankful to that. I am just an example of one parent who is approaching this in an instinctual rather than truly scientific way. Unfortunately, that means that my data (or lack thereof) means I am not as helpful to others as I might have otherwise been. Guest guest
Stan, could you expand on this a little? I just ordered a bottle of the RNAs as a trial for my son and I'm a little wary. I was a little skeptical before but now... If you want to answer off-line, that's fine. Thanks!
