Guest guest
This sounds like a classic case of diet restriction from an addiction to the sugar and alcohol created by the yeast and bacteria in your child. I would start with diflucan and an SCD diet less IGG food allergies before doing anything else. At 5 years old, there is a window of opportunity that is about to pass you by... an opportunity that many families wish every day they had. I would have a wake up call and dive into SCD without IGG Food sensitivities tomorrow along with a good antifungal and sit back and watch your child change. Once you do that, then I would consider other therapies like an antiviral. If the gut is not under control, your odds of other things working are greatly reduced. - Stan > > > > > > > > can somebody tell me any studies done on nasal MB12 or how you > > know it works for > > > you. Guest guest
Stan- I am confused. We tried SCD in February for about 3-4 weeks. Had obvious die off for several days 3-4. Fever, lethargic etc. no eating. He then started eating nuggets and egg/squash pancakes. With occasional pear and apple sauce. He's so so so picky. I can't talk him into things. I can't beg with him to taste something- so he made his SCD diet very restricted. Anyway- his stools improved intially- but after 2 weeks became loose again...and more frequent. He became very aggressive and more alarming was the self abuse. He began banging his head on the floor really hard . Breaking the skin. etc. I then attended Yasko's conference where she mentioned high protein diets can be toxic for some kids...making them go bonkers basically. Should we go back down the scd road?? thanks. beth Re: signs of viral kids? Guest guest
Egg is a very common allergen in our kids... specifically known to cause headaches. I bet if you did an IGG Food Panel you'd see high markers for egg white.... which is what is used in vaccines to modulate the strength of the virus.... coincidence, I'm sure. - Stan > > > > > > > > can somebody tell me any studies done on nasal MB12 or how you > > know it works for > > > you. Guest guest
When I talk about SCD, I usually say " SCD minus IGG Food markers. " Yes, you could be kicking up and out toxins if your child is burning off fat (toxins get stuck in fat)... that could be one possibility, but I suspect the issue is more related to the foods you are replacing the complex carbs with. I would try an IGG Food Panel and when you get the results you'll have better data to decide if you should try again. Feel free to share the results with us and we can talk more about it. - Stan > > > > > > > > > > can somebody tell me any studies done on nasal MB12 or how you > > > know it works for > > > > you. Guest guest
OK, interesting about the eggs. Where can I go this IGG food panel? Will insurance cover typically?I printed off the recommended work up and faxed to my pediatricians office. She signed off on all of it- hoping insurance will foot the bill.Going to go in for those blood draws next week. But I'd like more info on this IGG thing. We did very basic allergy scratch tests on when he was a year or so old because of a dairy thing. Doc tested 8 or so things....it was painful ....and showed nothing. He refused to test more. I came back to him 2 years later-- a year into the autism diagnosis.......and he said no way food allergies could be delayed........and it couldn't affect behaviors etc.... Obviously we haven't pursued allergy stuff since then. Did do a SAGE test about 2 years ago......... But am wanting more ....needing more info on the allergy situation for . Thanks. Guest guest
I like the IGG Food Allergy by Blood from Great Plains Laboratories. If you have to pay cash and mention Children's Corner School, I think they take 10% off and charge you $180 instead of $200. They do take insurance as well. Also Doctors Data has one if I remember correctly. You mentioned , I know that Dr. Goldberg uses one, but I can't remember the lab. I used his lab to verify Great Plains and they were almost identical. I've also seen parents use Great Plains over and over and learn something helpful almost every time, so I reallly believe in doing IGG Food by Blood. Surpisingly many docs, even DAN! docs don't use them that much, or they used them down the line after the gut has done some healing... I think you should do all the hard work up front since the gut is the foundation of healing for our kids. - Stan > > > > > > > > > > can somebody tell me any studies done on nasal MB12 or how you > > > know it works for > > > > you. Guest guest
These scratch test don't show IGG... scratch, RAST, IGE... these are the only test the mainstream seems to understand.... probably because their isn't a medicine for IGG issues. You need to change the diet and doctors have very little dietary training.... usually like 8 hours or some crazy thing like that. Remember, If someone is UP on something, they are generally DOWN on it. Don't take negative feedback about wanting to do IGG Food testing as a sign that it's a bad thing to do.... it just means the mainstream doesn't know how to use it. - Stan > > > > > > > > > > can somebody tell me any studies done on nasal MB12 or how you > > > know it works for > > > > you. Guest guest
Stan, My DAN ordered a blood IgG food panel test from our local Quest lab. Do you think this is a test that they can interpret adequately or do I also need to request one from Great Plains Lab? Sheryl Re: signs of viral kids?
